We couldn't even stay. It's like staying in an old converted office building. The whole place is dark, dingy and very old. We were given an interior room...no windows. The place smelled and the furnishings haven't been upgraded in decades. And if you plan to do any business while you're there, beware...they have dial-up internet. We looked at the room... more

After reading the more recent reviews on this hotel, I was not sure what to expect! I am very happy with my most recent experience here! Before this trip, the last time I stayed here was about a year ago, and I was wondering if it had changed THAT much. The young lady who checked us in was pleasant. She... more

I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and have noticed a serious deterioration in the quality of the service provided. The hotel is older and tired looking, however I could overlook that if it was clean....which it is NOT!! The dishes in the cupboards were visibly dirty, the bathroom was disgusting and I did not sleep... more

The people at the lobby desk were rude. Finding no ironing board in our room, though one is supposed to be there, I went to the desk and ask for one. Rather than a staff person kindly taking it to our room, I am given one to carry through the lobby to take to our room. Ask for directions to... more

We have been staying at this hotel at least once a year for the past 8 or 9 years. It is a converted warehouse with spacious rooms. Be warned that there are many different types of rooms. The two bedroom, two bathroom, with kitchenette and living room is great when staying in Duluth with friends. The standard suite has a... more

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. We stay here everytime we visit Duluth. Our last trip however when we checked out on Sunday the 2 girls at the front desk were very rude. I can understand if I was giving them a hard time. I simply asked them a couple of questions about the area and... more

Convenient for family reunions that we have had in the past. Unfortunately the hotel has not kept up the rooms. Bathroom floors and walls were visibly dirty. Cot was not clean and the mattress was warn. Room and hall carpets not cleaned. Some items on the breakfast bar were of poor quality. Front desk not that helpful. more

We made reservations at The Suites before we read any reviews. After reading the reviews I had some doubts as to whether or not we should stay there, but decided we would anyway since opinions can vary greatly, but we made sure to ask for a room with windows because we like to sleep with the windows open at night.... more

It was great!! We enjoyed all the rooms!! Full size 2 bedrooms, 2 full size bathrooms, a full size living room, full size dining room, full size kitchen with icemaker in the freezer!! We were very lucky to get windows, which was great. We got to have our windows open at night, and during the day we could see the... more

We recently spent a night at The Suites in Canal Park. Our suite was large, clean, comfortable and quiet. We did pay a little more a suite with a window, which was small, but provided a nice view. The front desk staff were pleasant and efficient. A wide array of cold and hot food was offered for breakfast. Although the... more
