I booked a room at this hotel to stay for my Graduate school ceremony. The entire stay was a delight. The check-in process was smooth and painless. Our room was huge, with 2 beds and a pull-out sofa and a balcony that we were upgraded to at no charge. I was traveling with my foreign exchange student from Australia and... More

Was recently in Duluth for a conference and stayed at this lovely hotel. The rooms were nicely sized and well-appointed. Comfortable beds, nice towels and included a refrigerator and microwave. A full sized breakfast including eggs, sausage, waffles, cereals was available each morning. My room had a lovely view of Lake Superior. The boardwalk along the lake that leads over... More

After reading many reviews we stayed at the Canel Park Lodge for three nights on our recent trip to Duluth. We enjoyed the facility very much and the only reason I am not rating it "excellent" is that the rooms were far to seceptable to talking and noise from ajoining rooms to where you can hear your neighbors laugh, etc.... This is a beautiful Hotel on Lake Superior. Reserve a Lakeside room, well worth it. There is a very romantic horse drawn buggy ride that takes you through Canal Park and along the boardwalk. The shops and restaurants all are within walking distance and the boardwalk is beautiful at night. I have been there twice and will always check availability... More

The lodge is very beautiful, well maintained, fabulous lake views, staff is very attentive but I have stayed at other places in Duluth that were just as nice without the $200 a night price tag. If views aren't your thing or you can do without stay at Fitgers which has a lot of character for 1/2 the price. If money... More

My husband and I spent 1 night at the Canal Park Lodge in Duluth, Minnesota. I made our reservation on a Monday for the upcoming Friday, and was lucky to get any room at any hotel on the canal with a view of the lake. We got a very nice balcony room overlooking part of the lake. The room itself... More

I ended up here on three separate stays, July through September 2011, a change from the two other Canal Park hotels I typically booked. I made the switch because I appreciated my July stay so much, and the subsequent stays did not disappoint. The front desk staff have all been fun, casual, and a little edgy in a good way.... More

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Canal Park Lodge in Duluth. The hotel is right at the edge of the water so you can walk out the door and take a great walk along the boardwalk. We had Lake side view on the third floor so we could see the ships coming in and going out of... More

Newer resort for Canal Park...walking distance to the bridge and restaurants. Our room was very clean, and we all slept comfortably. The breakfast was pretty good, as well! Great access to the boardwalk:) We were able to get discount tickets for the Lake Superior Zoo and North Shore Scenic Railroad...guest desk was helpful.

One great thing; the thermostat had a light in it! It would come on when you opened the box if you wanted to adjust the temp. in the room. Very handy in the middle of the night. One bad thing; very sneaky add-on price. When you check in you have to initial your agreement on about 4 different things on... More
