In addition to this hotel, we visited both the "Comfort Suites" and the "Inn on Lake Superior." The Canal Park Lodge was the best of the three and is a much better choice, in my opinion, than the "Inn." Our room faced the lake and had a wonderful balcony area. On one night we had noisy neighbors (we heard them... More

Our family went up to Duluth for a nice summer weekend. The place is newer and very well maintained. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and maybe a little bigger than a standard room. The bathroom was clean and bright. The breakfast was fantastic for a free breakfast. Many choices and new food replaced frequently.... More

This hotel was great to stay at and an easy walk to so many shops, restaurants and most importantly the lift bridge and boardwalk! We stayed with 2 children, rooms very quiet, great indoor pool, free nightly appetizers and a cash bar set up to have great conversation overlooking Lake Superior. Have stayed here in the past, will stay again!

The Canal Park Lodge is a nice hotel with beautiful views of lake Superior; however, it is rather pricey. We had a king lake view room. The room was clean, but the furniture is cheap. Also, the bedspread had holes in it and one of the seams was undone so it was falling apart. I would not have expected this... More

Nice hotel, quiet and comfortable. Only one elevator, but it's a rapid one so there was very little waiting. The comp breakfast is good, eggs, breakfast meat, toast, waffles, fruit, so you can cobble-together a decent meal. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and accommodating! Our room was 3rd floor, balcony, lakeview. We later learned there are suites with jacuzzis. The... More

This hotel has friendly and helpful staff. A happy hour was occuring when we arrived, with delicious taco appetizers. The decor is very tastfully done. The fireplace was on in the lobby as it was damp out due to the rain. A nice cozy feeling. The rooms are nice in size. The beds are very comfortable. Great view of the lake... More

Even though I am a Hilton Honors member, we always bypass the Hampton and stay at Canal Park Lodge. We love the view of our balcony room, where we can people watch the boardwalk area and watch the ships come in. This hotel is in a great location, you can easily walk to DECC, movies, Fitger's complex, casino, canal park... More

My husband and I recently took a trip to the North Shore of Lake Superior and stayed at the Canal Park Inn on our first night. I chose it because it was the only hotel in Canal Park that we hadn’t tried yet, and because I nostalgically recalled staying at the previous hotel on the site in my youth. We... More

I've stayed here at least once a year x 5 in conjunction with a conference. Rooms are spacious and clean, and the magnificent views of Lake Superior from every room . . . rock. Most notable however is the service--arranging meeting rooms, mailing items left behind, etc. Always accommodating.

Our room here had a wonderful view of the lake and walking path along the shore. The hotel was very, very clean and attractive, complete with safe, microwave, fridge and coffeemaker. The location is great for walking the area filled with nearby shops. The breakfast included hot entries and many choices. The hotel staff was very accomodating to our group.
