We generally stay at the Inn on Lake Superior but after recent stays where we had headaches with flaky Internet, increasingly run down public areas and just too many loud rambunctious families we opted to stay at the Lodge for our Labour Day escape. We were not disappointed. Staff are more professional, common areas are nicer and of a higher... More

I've been to Duluth a number of times and have stayed at most of the hotels in Canal Park. The hotels here are always a bit expensive and the Lodge is no exception. The Lodge is the newest of the hotels in Canal Park so the rooms are in good condition and the property is well cared for. We had... More

This was our 2nd stay at the Canal Park Lodge in Duluth, MN. We weren't quite as impressed this time. Of course it was expensive, which is the usual for all Canal Park hotels. There was a weird comforter on the bed that was very heavy and kept slipping off all night. In the morning, we found the liner on... More

Very nice hotel to stay at. Clean hotel and friendly staff. Great breakfast, very busy though, better to take your food outside on the patio or back to your room. Great location, close to shops, restaurants, boardwalk, water. Relaxing area to sit out back in the evening. Duluth is a wonderful place to visit.

Great location in Canal Park. Overlooks Lake Superior and is on the Lakewalk. Check-in staff was friendly. Rooms were clean and had most amenities (hair dryer, fridge, etc.). Breakfast is what you may find in a Hampton or similar type restaurant. Decent. Free Sunday Star Tribunes (but not a Duluth paper, which was odd). The large patio on the lake... More

We've stayed at every hotel in Canal Park. This was our first stay at Canal Park Lodge. It was very nice. Unfortunately, all but one hotel in Canal Park require a minimum 2 night stay in the busy season & Canal Park is one of them. We intended to stay 2 nights but found out the day of check in... More

Excellent spot for a family get together with plenty of shops and resturants nearby. Prices go up if you stay for a Saturday night only during the busy season regardless of the number of rooms and total nights we booked. Breakfast is very good witha large variety but the seating area is very crowded. We had a lake side with... More

It was my brother's 66th birthday, so I gave him two nights here with his wife and grand daughter. They truly enjoyed the cleanliness, comfort, free appetizers in early evening and good breakfasts and coffee. They enjoyed the view of lake from the balcony. My brother, the proud possessor of a Cuban from another sibling, was disappointed that he could... More

This was the first stop on our motorcycle trip honeymoon. Very nice that they have covered parking near the front of the hotel dedicated for motorcycles only. This is the only hotel in Canal Park that offers this! The hotel was very clean and new. Comfortable bed. Staff were very friendly. Excellent view of the lake from our room and... More

We stayed here for the Aug long weekend. The location is excellent, close to the water, shops and restaurants. The included breakfast was quite good with a fair bit of choice. In the evenings there was a cash bar with nice canapes. The room was spacious and comfortable with a great mattress. We loved having our breakfast outside on the... More
