This hotel went ABOVE my expectations. Our suite was overlooking Lake Superior and was furnished with an amazing whirpool tub, large comfy bed, huge bathroom and a refrigerator. It was so relaxing, my husband and I stayed in our suite one of our evenings there, just relaxing in the whirpool with a bottle of wine. The staff was wonderful and... More

We have used this place for 5+ years now and although it truly excels at nothing, it never fails to get 4 out of 5 in all the things that matter to us. Very friendly, welcoming, decent rooms, lovely lounges, great location and fine value for money (if you choose your dates right). I was heading north up from Tennessee... More

My family loves to stay in this hotel whenever we visit Duluth. The proximity to the Canal Park shopping is wonderful. The hotel is also right next to Canal Park Brewing Company which has good food. My husband and I upgraded to a Whirlpool suite upon check in. The suite was gorgeous and worth the additional money. It had a... More

Nice and clean and very close to the 'action' in Canal Park. It is a tad pricy, but the location makes up for the extra price as you are within walking distance of entertainment (restaurants, DECC, etc). Rooms are updated and clean. Continental breakfast is above average. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Duluth.

Haven't stayed here for a year or so, largely because they are not pet friendly, one of the only negatives I have for this property (and that's a shame, they're located right on the waterfront and its a great place to walk with dogs. We took a king suite this time (Canadians stay for half price during the winter) with... More

Nicest hotel in Duluth, good staff, nice breakfast, good coffee, good location, lobby lounge is really nice and comfortable, light bar setup in the evenings, close to a few restaurants, however hockey weekends are busy.

We spent two nights at the Canal Park Lodge in August. This was our second visit; we had also stayed here in 2013. The location of the lodge is great: the lake shore is right outside the back door, several great restaurants and shops nearby, the aerial bridge within close walking distance. A bit further of a walk (but still... More

My wife and I spent two nights at Canal Park Lodge on a combined shopping and getaway. It was our first time at the lodge and we will stay again. Upon arrival we decided to upgrade to a lakeview corner suite. Everything was great, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Staff was efficient and helpful, free breakfast very good,... More

Literally called on the 2nd hour of a 3 hour drive and got a complimentary upgrade to a lakeview room at a great rate! Staff was helpful and friendly. Lodge was beautifully decorated for Christmas! Watched the boats from our room! Walking distance to jingle bus. Caribou coffee bar and full breakfast! Great for kids! Family had a blast. We... More

Glad to hear you had a great trip and we were able to upgrade your stay! Visiting Bentleyville is a great reason to visit Duluth in the winter. We hope you stay with us again soon. -Jim More

We always stay at the Canal Park Lodge. Our trips to Duluth or the North Shore start with checking in at the lodge. We prefer a lake side room with a view of Lake Superior. The rooms are clean and nicely furnished, the staff is helpful, friendly and welcoming. They have a great breakfast, a perfect start to a day... More
