The Cottages are well maintained vintage cabins. Our bed was comfortable, sheets good quality, bathroom spotless. Many original fixtures are still in use which gives it a "walking back in time" quality. The location is close to Duluth and good value when compared to overpriced rooms in town. We stayed at North Shore Cottages on a foggy December night, which... More

My husband and I have been staying at North Shore Cottages since we first started dating. They are affordable, comfy and have a wonderful view of the lake. We loved them so much that we actually got married across from the cabins on the shore of Lake Superior, and had our humble little after the wedding get together in one... More

Stayed here for a night recently and loved it! Had a one bedroom cottage with a view to Lake Superior. Was impressed at how clean everything was (the sheets and towels felt clean and didn't have that gross worn in and overused smell some hotels have). The kitchen was small but functional and came stocked with pots and pans for... More

Stayed for a single night at the cottages on a road trip around the Lake. Originally intended on staying in Duluth but after driving through was much happier with this location. Directly over the road from the lake, the cottage we stayed in was small, rustic but comfortable, I'd even go as far as cosy. The manager was very friendly... More

The throw-back appeal of these quaint cottages, from the lack of A/C to the knotty pine walls, to the Superior view make this a wonderful little get-away. As a couple just staying for a night on our way through to Canada, we found the room to have everything we needed; very clean, quiet, low-key, and relaxing. An incredibly scenic and... More

Although we were warned that the rooms were "just rustic cabins," Northshore was a perfect place to spend the night for a pair of typical tent-campers. Very clean and well kept, private kitchenette, fridge, sink, shower, and bathroom. Sheets were fresh and soft. Lake was in view, prairie of flowers out back. Highly recommeded for simple folk on budget--great deal!

A group of four of us rented their two-bedroom cottage for a night. It was a great property, with a view of the lake and a clean, well-supplied place to stay. The two beds and two baths cabin has a full kitchen, so we had no trouble cooking supper and breakfast. The cabin was excellent value for money - much... More

We stayed here for two nights in late September. The cabins were definitely older but were kept clean. Needed some serious updating but for the price you can't expect too much more. Bathroom was extremely small though. View was great though, right across the street from Superior. Quiet and the price was very reasonable. Manager was super nice as well.... More

I do a lot of research before booking any accomodation andq chose this place because of the location and price. We were very satisfied with our one bedroom cabin. It was clean, had everything we needed and was quiet. We stayed for 5 nights. We'd definitely stay here again!

I came into town for a couple days' bumming around en route to a family get-together, and just winged it on the lodgings. After going in to price some rather seedy chain hotels and motels along I-35 in the direction of West Duluth, I just gave up in disgust, blew past the main part of town, drove up London Road...
