A perfect large family suite. Our family of six spent one weeknight here passing through the area. The kids loved the area because it was close to the stores and restaurants. They also loved seeing the largest freighter sailing the Great Lakes so close to the hotel The pools were small, but they enjoyed their first rooftop swim in the... more

We (husband age 33, myself 31, and 3 kids aged 6,6, and 4) arrived at 2:45 on a Thursday afternoon. We were able to get checked in already and go up to our room. We reserved a lakeview suite on the Inn's website a couple weeks before our stay. As we opened the hotel room door, we entered the 2... more

This is a great place to stay if you are in Duluth. The location is on the water. There is a wonderful lake walk, shops and restaurants are all within walking distance, and the s'mores are great. Do request the lakeside, if you can get it. more

Beautiful hotel -- steps (literally) away from a path running along the lake. We drove up in heavy fog, and woke up to great views of the lake. Pets are allowed, and the hotel staff even provided a special doggie basket -- with a tennis ball, bandana, and a water bowl! Surprisingly well priced. Rooms were very nice, with upscale... more

I attended a business meeting and stayed at teh inn. I will come back sometime with friends and family. Located in Canal Park this is a perfect place for a Duluth stay. I had a room looking out on the lake. It was a little cold to go on the deck but there was a deck. I could hear the... more

We booked a room to celebrate our 25th Anniversary! The hotel is very busy...We chose to stay on a Monday night in August thinking that it wouldn't be too busy. We were wrong, the Inn was full. We have stayed many times at the Inn and have noticed that customer service tends to lack when they are busy. I have... more

This is an excellent and extremely family friendly hotel, located right on the lake. You can basically park your car and easily walk to everything Canal Park has to offer (restaurants, shops, the US Army Corp of Engineers Information Center and Museum, Aerial Lift Bridge, The DECC, the Vista Cruises etc, etc). The only time we had to get in... more

This was a good location for a one night stay. The room was large, clean, and comfortable but nothing special. We had a city view, because it was the cheapest room available--and you can walk out of the hotel and see the lake! The breakfast was not memorable--typical hotel stuff--and the seating area was very crowded. We enjoyed the path... more

Stayed here for a family reunion in July 2007. Great family friendly rooms, views, smores on the beach. Breakfast was good, nice touch that they had loaner bikes. Convenient to all of the tourist stuff in Duluth, easy on/off the freeway for day trips. more

We lucked out! Our experience with pet-friendly rooms has been that the rooms are not in the most desirable locations. This room had a view of the city, bridge, and the lake. This is the best pet-friendly hotel we've been at - they give you a very cool goody bag at check in with treats, toys an i.d. tag and... more
