We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend in April. We rented a "whirlpool" room. They put us in the lower level. The mini fridge tan, but didn't keep things cold, the "whirlpool was a bathtub for one person located in the main room. I've never seen a whirlpool room with a tub for one? Was very disappointed with... More

My husband and I have stayed here a few times but not for a couple years, until this last weekend. Our room reeked of cat pee, was small and the jacuzzi had to be crawled over to get to the faucet. Breakfast was cheap, with off tasting waffle mix, generic cereal and instant milk. We rode our bicycle from Hinkley,... More

Oh dear. I wanted to like this place. But no. The room was large, but dark. When we were given the key and checked in at about 3 pm, the room had not made up so we had to come back several hours later. There was a bucket hanging on the ceiling as if the roof had been leaking. It... More

Check-in is a little awkward, I could tell I was being a bit of a bother -they couldn't put us in one room for three nights so we had to move around (not a big deal!). The first night our room was perfect, we will definitely be requesting that room from now on. The second night the room we were... More

We needed a place to stay after attending a motorcycle rally at Spirit Mountain. Willard Munger Inn appears to be an older motor inn style motel. One level, park in front of your room. The room was small with a queen sized bed, micro, frig, small bath with a stand up shower. Cabin/north woods decor. Mattress was comfortable and amenities... More

My husband and I rented a small room here on a VERY busy weekend. The couple (I think they own the place) that checked us in were very nice. The price was right too! The only wierd thing was that they didn't supply a clock in our room so we could set an alarm. Never had a room without an... More

The Munger Inn Duluth is my favorite place to say in the world. Okay, the Hilton Daytona Beach does have certain advantages, but for a down-home North Country feel, very clean and comfortable rooms, beautiful Up North surroundings, free waffles that you make yourself, and a super-friendly owner and staff, the Munger Inn is numero uno for your Duluth visit.... What a wonderful place to stay! It is not the cheapest place, but well worth the few extra dollars! The place has been family-owned for decades and is in a great location with access to the ski hill and tons of walking trails!! Just far enough from downtown Duluth to avoid parking problems and noise, but close enough if you... More

My family, friends, and I have stayed at the Munger Inn a number of times. It is reasonably priced, offers unique extra's and is owned by a family with a long history of dedication to the environment and bicycling. Willard Sr. was a long time Minnesota State Legislator and the driving force behind the creation of the Munger Trail: a... More

For your money, location and accommodations, Willard Munger Inn is your best bet. Rooms are modern, clean and well maintained. The price is right, too. Continental breakfast includes waffles and french toast. Wifi and cable tv and free newspaper everyday. Across from Lake Superio zoo with complimentary tickets, across from Spirit Mountain Skiing, and great hiking on the Munger Trails.... More
