My daughter just called me from this Inn and told me she is expected to stay in a room with her small children, that has a leaking ceiling. They have buckets sitting around to catch the rain water when it rains. Their explanation is that they recently had storm damage. They refuse to cancel her reservation and have told her... More

Booked two rooms to accommodate family members. Used the free pass to the zoo and walked the Western Waterfront Trail just behind the hotel. The staff was friendly and very responsive to requests. The location is off the beaten track, but a short drive to anywhere, like the Canal, NorthShore Drive, and Jay Cooke State Park. (Took bike ride on... More

I called with a number of questions about the hotel and amenities a few evenings back. The woman who answered was less than friendly. She seemed like she was rushing through the call and then we got disconnected. I thought it was my cell phone dropping the call. I called back once with no answer and got her to answer... More

We did not read Tripadvisor reviews prior to booking just relied on Inns website. Pictures of the rooms are deceving. We stayed in queen size room with deck. Wallpaper was peeling off, room smelled and it was dusty. Kitchen area had 3 buckets hanging above the food counter to catch water. I wish they remodel Inn from inside out. On... More

We got a room with a queen size bed and it came with a back deck that had an electric grill and a fire pit out back. There was also a mini fridge and microwave, along with continental breakfast in the morning. We had free use of their bikes, which we used on the Willard Munger Trail, which starts right... More

We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend in April. We rented a "whirlpool" room. They put us in the lower level. The mini fridge tan, but didn't keep things cold, the "whirlpool was a bathtub for one person located in the main room. I've never seen a whirlpool room with a tub for one? Was very disappointed with... More

My husband and I have stayed here a few times but not for a couple years, until this last weekend. Our room reeked of cat pee, was small and the jacuzzi had to be crawled over to get to the faucet. Breakfast was cheap, with off tasting waffle mix, generic cereal and instant milk. We rode our bicycle from Hinkley,... More

Oh dear. I wanted to like this place. But no. The room was large, but dark. When we were given the key and checked in at about 3 pm, the room had not made up so we had to come back several hours later. There was a bucket hanging on the ceiling as if the roof had been leaking. It... More

Check-in is a little awkward, I could tell I was being a bit of a bother -they couldn't put us in one room for three nights so we had to move around (not a big deal!). The first night our room was perfect, we will definitely be requesting that room from now on. The second night the room we were... More

We needed a place to stay after attending a motorcycle rally at Spirit Mountain. Willard Munger Inn appears to be an older motor inn style motel. One level, park in front of your room. The room was small with a queen sized bed, micro, frig, small bath with a stand up shower. Cabin/north woods decor. Mattress was comfortable and amenities... More
