I have stayed here twice and both times I was impressed with the quality and price of the Munger Inn. There's a fire pit, continental breakfast and friendly staff (and dogs!) who are extremely conscientious. For a nice room with a whirlpool, we got a great deal. The hotel is conveniently located in the middle of Duluth and is right... More

Hey Road Cyclists, I just road the Munger Willard Trail from Hinkley to Duluth this past saturday. It is a easy rolling ride on asphalt of which most of it is through forests, farmland and along lakes and streams. Don't miss this ride! To make it a home run, I stayed at the Munger Inn in Duluth. They were kind... More

Well, reasonable price, bikes to use, right at the beginning of the Willard Munger bike trail, pass to the zoo, dogs accepted, and waffles for breakfast. Friendly, cheerful staff and less than 15 minutes to downtown on I35. What's not to like?

As someone who travels at least once a week for work, this place was very refreshing. I've stayed in my share of large chain hotels and have honestly paid much more for far less. It's a simple place with natural wood decor and great scenery out back. It's off the beaten path but only about a 15 minute drive from... More

We booked a room via expedia and weren't really sure exactly what we were getting into. The outside of the building was a little scary but the inside was so quaint and cozy. We arrived late and were surprised to find that we were upgraded to the whirlpool room. The amenities weren't new and the room could have had some... More

My husband and I took a spontaneous trip to Duluth. So we were looking for hotels last minute. Willard Munger was the only reasonably priced place at that point. When we got there the guy at the check in did something with the reservation, so that we could get a weeknight price (we were staying Saturday and Sunday night) and... More

We stayed in room 217 which was a large room with a very comfortable queen bed! The room was rustic, but that was the charming part of it. We stayed here because we enjoy finding non - "cookie cutter" large hotels! The free bikes to ride the Munger trail right behind the inn were definitely a plus. It has a... More

We stay in room 218! The room was not clean when we were given the keys, they put clean ones on after we showed the room but we don't know 100% and we still had to pay full price for a room unsanitary

I booked a night stay thinking it was a Cabin for 4 from the website description but it turned out to room for 2. They cancelled my room and told me I would get a Full refund. An hour later, when I stopped back they had already rented the room. However, I never got a full refund on my credit... More
