We recently stayed at The Ellery House to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. We stayed in Daisy's Suite which was very comfortable. It was a very cold weekend (below zero) but we were instantly warmed by the cozy fireplace in the sun porch. Joan is a wonderful cook. Jim gets an A+ for presentation of the fruit. The food was beyond... More

When we called to upgrade our suite with the Sweetheart package, we were delighted to see such a wonderful Room. The B&B was a gift from family and friends for our wedding and mini honeymoon. I love to stay in B&Bs because they tend to be more cozy and warm. This one did not disappoint at all in any way.... More

We stayed at The Ellery House to celebrate our 35th Anniversary. We spent three nights in Daisy's Suite, which included the Romance Package of roses, champagne, truffles, mugs, etc. The view of colourful fall trees from the windows of the sun porch was lovely in the day time, and it was cozy in the evenings sitting by the little fireplace.... Ellery House is a beautiful B & B in Duluth. Jim was a tremendous help to us as this was our first visit to Duluth. He gave us tips on sights to see and restaurants that would appeal to our tastes. Jim also suggested other stops along the way to our next destination in Minnesota, and as usual, he was... More

Jim couldn't be kinder. So informative and gracious toward this couple who had never been to Duluth. His wife, Joan, is an excellent cook. She made our breakfasts memorable. The home itself was quaint and charming. Just what you would expect in a Victorian home. Five stars go to Jim and Joan.

Love the character of the house. We stayed in the Daisy suite and spent most of our time in the sunroom, cozy! The house could use a little updating but our host was wonderful and friendly and breakfast was delicious.

My boyfriend & I stayed here for a weekend getaway...very impressed! I love old homes so I enjoyed how the 1900s was preserved. The bed was comfortable, blankets soft and atmosphere is quiet. The breakfast both mornings was AMAZING! I would definitely stay here again! The hosts Jim & Joan love to talk so if you are in a hurry... More

We have been to the Ellery House twice and have been struck by the warmth and welcome of our host Jim. In business for over 25 years, Jim still has passion and energy for connecting with guests and making them feel taken care of. Housed in an 1890 Queen Victorian home, it has the antiques, vintage china etc..that one would... More

We loved our stay at the Ellery House. It was the perfect place to just settle in for a weekend away. Enjoying sunshine, looking at the lake, and sitting by a fire - what better way to pass a cold winter weekend.

We visited Duluth last june for 4 days in our three week holiday in Minnesota and Cape Cod. We had a great time in this beautiful house. The rooms are nicely decorated, spacious enough and clean. Jim, the owner, is a great guy, we had long talks along breakfast about the big differences between Europe and the USA. And this... More
