A overnight at this hotel was such a treat. We couldn't find a hotel in the area due to a golf tournament and a festival. The lady on the phone said sometimes people check out early if they don't make it to the next round and took our number. She called a few hours later with the good news -... More

When we arrived Friday evening the whole complex was packed, including the parking lots. We parked to the north and walked up to the hotel entrance. The valet was remarkable and not only apologized for the our walk, but took care of the vehicle (free valet service) and had it waiting at the front entrance for us right at 7am... More

Staying at the Fitger is an experience that must be taken as a whole. It's an old brewery complex with shops and restaurants, balconies and passageways to explore. If your weather while visiting turns bad, you never have to leave the complex. Our room was spacious with the bed set back in a raised alcove so we could see the... More

Traveling with a pet? I guess Canal Park hotels no longer want you. But don't worry Fitger's will welcome you. Not only do they take pet's it is also a very nice place to stay. The hotel staff was over the top accommodating. When I had to delay our stay by one day due to a death in the family... More

I have stayed in a few other hotels in Duluth, newer properties in Canal Park and a very nice Residence Inn. Fitgers is the granddaddy of them all so to speak, so I was curious what a stay would be like, If you love that old charm type of feel you may love the place. For my more modern/fussy needs,... More

Fitgers may not be the newest or cheapest place to stay in Duluth, but it is by far my favorite. Great Location! Far enough away from Canal Park to avoid some of the chaos, but close enough to walk down and enjoy the activity. The service at Fitgers is fantastic and the historical aspects make it a place that I... More

This hotel was a real "find" for us! It has character, wonderful ambience, and cheerful, helpful staff. It is located in a most central location, within walking distance of seemingly every shop, restaurant and attraction that one would wish to visit on a short weekend vacation. The view from our room was spectacular; continual ship and people watching opportunities if... More

We just spent two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it. We upgraded to one of the executive suites for our wedding anniversary and it was lovely. We enjoyed the view from our balcony, the jacuzzi and the access to the lakewalk. It was so nice to stay away from the chaos of Canal Park too. As far as the suite... More

Expensive for what it is. I was expecting more. There were several other very nice hotels that we regretted not staying at when we arrived at The Fitger’s Inn. The hotel was neat but the rooms were lacking. The picture of the room when we booked, was not close to what we actually got. I was a bit disappointed.
