What a view we had, one day ice bergs are floating by the next day the lake is open, fun to watch. The rooms had marble counter tops, the bedding was great, and the towels super thick and nice. It's a little noisy with doors slamming - and the breakfast is just your basic breakfast. I would definitely stay here... More

This is a great place to stay for a visit to Duluth. Particularly in the winter as there is underground parking. Nice views of the lake from most rooms. The kitchen could have had more cooking things. You have to chase down housekeeping to get garbage removed and fresh towels. The Lake walk is right out your door. If you... More

For the price, it is definitely not worth it. From the moment we stepped foot into the resort, we were treated like second class citizens. The front desk was incredibly rude and gave us no guidance on anything, such as pool hours, breakfast, underground parking. We had a room facing the street. No 'spectacular views'. Issues consistently arose, and no... More

Dear Bholmen, I am so sorry for the experience you had with us recently. We certainly aim to meet and exceed all of our guests expectations and clearly we missed our target with you. We do offer pretty spectacular views from nearly all our units and we also typically have guests enjoy the service we provide. I am not sure... More

My amazing boyfriend planned for us to stay here for my birthday weekend. We stayed in room 301U. From the moment we pulled into the underground parking, we felt like we were on a luxury vacation. Getting to the top of the stairs in our suite was indescribable; we were in absolute awe. Despite the chilly weather, we were drawn... More

Beacon Pointe is a unique hotel in Duluth. New linen and carpets may be worth noting after reading other comments. Didn't find the hotel louder than any other shared wall hotel. In short... There is no way to stay in Duluth closer to the Lake. On the boardwalk and near Backwoods restaurant. Glenshen mansion is a few blocks away. The... More

Stayed in 3 bedroom suite. Certainly not a luxury resort when the carpeting is totally disgusting, the toilet did not work, our dishwasher was not empty when we arrived, the iron is stored on the floor next to dresser. Poor lighting in living room. An end table and lamp missing. Housekeeping consists of making beds and taking out garbage. Beds... More

We invited some friends from Japan with their kids and ours. We stayed in a large 3 bedroom suite. We had a huge kitchen and two balconies overlooking the lake. Campfire with smores at night and free bike rentals....which we rode down to the lift bridge. The staff was great. It's more like a condo setting than a hotel which... More
