This resort/casino is located approx. 30 mi south of Duluth, MN and they have recently completed a multi-story addition to the original motel. Definately, request that your room is in the new tower, although it is more expensive than the original motel building. It's well worth the difference in price. Very clean tower hotel rooms. Very efficient staff at check-in. They should have better rates or perks for returning visitors. Have never been impressed with their buffets.They could use some cooking lessons. They could also use a better plan for handicap parking as they only have a few spots. Otherwise we really enjoy staying at the bear. more
