This Casino Resort is very conveniently located off I 35 in MN. The rooms are clean and spacious. We ended up with a poolside room and it was very noisy. Also noticed a lot of noise on the floor above us from 2-4 AM. The sage deli food was less than average, which is surprising for a casino. I expected... More

Stayed in the older part of hotel, stains on carpet, holes in the bedspread, stains on inside of pillow. From 2am-4am people making lots of noise on floor above us. Breakfast service at The Buffet sad, food wasn't very hot and employees didn't seem that eager to work, very slow service.

We decided to book a weekend away with our kids (No Longer In School) for our March Break Weekend.... So we decided to make tracks and do a bit of gambling... Never stayed at the resort and was very impressed with the facilities; food, hospitality, entertainment and the rooms in the Tower... We will be back again. Jon

The Black Bear Casino in Carlton, MN has quite a good Seafood night on Thursdays, with waiting times as long as THREE hours to get into the buffet! I myself had to go through this three hour wait, but the food made it worth it. (I’m saying that after fasting for 24 hours and putting in a 2.5 hr workout... More

Great rooms - very clean, Excellent beds (had a smoking King in the tower), The staff was very helpful & friendly from the doormen, cashiers, and most of all the front desk personal and rewards club staff. Attended Comedy Club Night, Wednesday Night, and enjoyed the show. The gaming floor is large, and lots of choices for slot machines. The... More

Very comfortable beds and there are six pillows on the King Bed. All rooms in the 12 story tower have floor to ceiling windows with great views. There is a golf corse on site, pool, hot tub. The Seven Fires Restaurant is excellent. The casino is light but a bit smokey. The bar on the casino floor has a nice... More

The sheets and blanket in our room were so scratchy - literally painful. It felt like they had little prickly needles in them. My husband had a rash when we got home. We wanted a jacuzzi room, and didn't realize those were all in the old part. So, we kept the room they gave us, since we were only there... More

The new tower is the place to stay. The rooms have never been smoked in. The staff at the front desk is friendly and helpful. Covered parking is connected to casino. Kid friendly restaurants, indoor pool. Arcade for children. Casino is a little smokey, but hey, what do you expect?
