If you like to gamble this is the place to go! Nice casino and hotel attached. Staff friendly and no issues with service. Rooms are clean and nice. Would stay again if in the area and it is a quick drive to duluth to visit there also.

The best thing I can say about this is they have a lot of food sources which is good if you have kids. There is the buffet serving all 3 meals, the steakhouse (a little pricey) and the 24 hour deli style serving pizza, burgers, sammies and salads. The buffet has some themes and has a nice selection. The room... More

We just wanted somewhere to stay overnight and Black Bear was excellent. The room was large and well equipped. There was a long line for the dinner buffet, so we went into the bar and had wonderful service from an excellent menu - the waitress put tables together for our party and really took care of us! At check-in we... More

Room in tower was clean with no issues. A bit noisy in the middle of the night with people not being respectfu lof others at 1:30 AM Options for dining could have been better,as there was a long line for the buffet and the only other option was the steak house. Overall a good weekend stay .

We checked in and there were several stains on the carpet and the windows and mirrors hand hand prints and cute little hearts drawn on them. Oppened up the sheets and it appeared they had not been changed. Hair and dirt covered the sheets. Having worked in the hospitality industry for several years, I know the quilts and/or comforters rarely... More

We stayed here with our two small children enroute to Minneapolis. We arrived late and went straight to our room in the tower. It was very nice, clean, and quiet. In the morning we had a fantastic buffet breakfast!!!! One of the best breakfast buffets yet!!! The omelet station was fantastic!!! We would definitely stay here again.

For some odd reason we always feel safe here and comfortable. The surrounding area is very pretty... More

Stayed overnight at Black Bear on Sept 22nd, on our way up to Lake of the Woods. We had a nice room and a good meal at the buffet. The gambling was lucky for me, I hit a Royal Flush. The casino was clean and well run. I would recommend this casino for any one passing thru Duluth.

Hotel is very nice -very comfy beds- great price - pool looked to be a good size we didn't use it but the service in the bar/nightclub was the worst I have ever had anywhere - also wish the casino was no smoking !
