We just returned from a three night stay at this wonderful resort and were so impressed with the beauty of the resort as well as it's many amenities. The rooms were very clean and well kept. We booked two cottages for 2 weeks. The cottages which are basically 3 bedroom 3 bath houses were adequetely furnished for renting a house. We spent Memorial weekend here and had the best time. This has to be the nicest resort we have ever stayed at in the Brainerd area and we have visited a lot of them. Everything looks brand new although it has been here a very long time. A complete overhaul and for the very best. The cabin was wonderful. Nicely... more

This place is the best! Two beaches, and indoor and outdoor pools! We stayed in a pool suite and it was well appointed (full kitchen, two queen beds, large bathroom, patio with table and chairs, fireplace in living room that has two couches - one is a hide-a-bed) and it was super clean! Kavanaugh's is a little unusual in that all of the accomodations that I could see appear to be relatively brand new. I know the resort has been there for years but obviously some big changes have been made. The grounds are impeccable, the sidewalks new, the pool and tennis court complex is first rate- you feel like you are living... more

Kavanaugh's Resort in Brainerd, Minnesota was a last minute (and VERY WONDERFUL) getaway! We had stayed at Cragun's Resort, Brainerd, Minnesota for Labor Day, 2004 but were unable to get reservations this year. HOW LUCKY FOR US!!
