We waited to write this review until the dust settled...we have never been treated so rudely -- even before we checked in (and we've stayed at 37 b&b's, to date)! We called our innkeepers to say that we were running late, due to an unscheduled visit to the Gerald Ford Presidential Library. We were told, "Well! We missed our golf... More

We are so sorry for this terrible misunderstanding. No rudeness was intended. We take pride in our hospitality and deeply regret that an innocent comment was taken as rudeness. Marla Queen, owner/innkeeper More

Our church ladies filled every room at The Queen's Residence B & B, and the hosts filled our time with the fullness of perfect hospitality, comforts, and a beautiful environment (we even enjoyed watching the first snowfall of the year as we ate their magnificent breakfast feast!). We enjoyed an awesome time of fellowship with the comforts of home! Thank... More

We just spent 5 nights in the Newton Suite; our first stay at this B & B. The house is beautifully decorated and Marla and Joe are friendly and accomodating. Fabulous breakfasts. The fruit salad was fresh and perfect every morning. The house is clean. The air smells clean; no dust, no mold. The bathroom was warm. The bed was... More

We stayed here for our anniversary weekend. It was wonderful. The house is gorgeous and Marla & Joe are wonderful hosts. The food was great. I can't recommend this place enough. Next time we're in Ypsi, we'll defiantly stay here again.

The Queen's Residence was our first stop on our tour and a great introduction to Michigan. Ypsilanti was a lovely place and we enjoyed our time both in the town and the b&b. Our twin suite was very well appointed and spacious, working well for us being divided into the two separate sleeping areas. The breakfasts were very tasty and... More

What a great endorsement for Ypsilanti as well as for our B & B. Thank you so much! I remember that you were going to some great places so I feel all the more honored by your remarks about us as innkeepers and my cooking. I am happy we could contribute to some good memories of your trip abroad. Marla... More

I stayed at The Queen's Residence on business and it was quite the experience. Big, beautiful house, delicious homemade cookies, and gourmet breakfast. The room was well appointed with a very comfortable bet. The couple who run this B&B are just delightful and made me feel very welcome. I wish I could have stayed more than one night. I hope... As I have responded to others, I love it when business travelers find their way to us! It is hard to find a "gourmet" breakfast at the standard hotels, or homemade cookies for that matter. Along the same line, I imagine that it is nice to find an alternative to the typical hotel decor as well. So thanks for the... More

As restorers, we can really appreciate the home itself and it is amazing. Marla and Joe are great hosts. Attentive without being pushy or in your business. They gave great advice on where to park for the Michigan game we attended and great restaurant suggestions. Ann Arbor is close, but don't forget Ypsi! There are a couple great places to... More

Thanks for the plug for Ypsilanti restaurants. I think it is helpful to others to know that they can find somewhere good to eat locally if they don't feel up to either the crowds or prices in Ann Arbor. We liked your feedback about us as innkeepers since we do try to pay attention to how much interaction feels right... More

As I read through some reviews of this property I couldn't help but see what people could possibly find wrong with their stay at the Queens Residence. I can only wonder how miserable a person must be (at all times) to find fault with such an incredibly beautiful place with such warm and inviting hosts. Please give no regard to... More

We love our guests so it is easy to treat you all as royalty. We are so glad that you found us and the inn "fabulous". You are correct in your statement that some folks cannot be pleased no matter what you doll. But in 100 reviews, there have only been three people in eight years that were not satisfied.... More

Truly amazing experience staying here in August 2015. Incredible attention to detail, fantastic food, beautiful/clean accommodations. The Queen's Residence mixes classic Victorian ambiance & decor with all the modern comforts a well-traveled person would expect. Can't wait to return!

My husband and I met in Ann Arbor after a ten month separation due to my employment contract. I wanted some place clean, peaceful and relaxing and we found it in the Queen's Residence. The breakfasts were incredibly large, probably more than I needed, but still very much appreciated and excellently prepared. We stayed in the Hoag room, which had... More

Thank you so much for your review, especially since you just returned to the states! I am so glad that you were able to relax and re-discovered each other after you lengthy separation and that the veranda and gardens provided the ambiance you were seeking. It is amazing how peaceful the courtyard can be even with our urban location. Marla... More
