This is a hotel to retur to! I stayed here for the third time and I came here by sea kayak as always. We stayed in one of the nice cabins ( Rorbu) near the sea. Very clean and comfortable and the view is breathtaking. The staff is very friendly and helpful. As I came here by kayak is was... More

It is difficult not to like this hotel, set in one of the most idyllic locations in Norway. Very friendly local, knowledgeably staff. The owner did a very informative tour of the island, as other colleagues hit the sea-food golf-balls from the cliff-tops into the salmon farm below. The superb chefs prepared a fantastic dining experience. The golf-balls came out... More

I stayed here with my wife, in one of their cottages; very recently refurbished with all you need for self catering. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, without over-doing it.

We stayed at this placw for a few days. First of all the location is fantastic! Lovund is a special island. The rorbu had recently been fixed and looked really good! Clean and nice, with the possibility to sit outside. Restaurant served great tastin local food, and the breakfast was good. The only thing that prevents me from giving top... More

The area is really nice, with smaller hikes that starts right outside your door. The view is fantastic, and the cabins are night on the sea. We came walking from the boat one morning, and were struck by the high quality of the infrastucture on this place considering the remote location. Cabins are solid and restaurant is brilliant with great... More

Very charming hotel with a personnel that did everything they could to make the stay something you would remember for all time afterwards. Still I remember the lovely food they conjured up in a restaurant styled up with a perfect taste. And the surrounding natur was as breath-taken as you never saw before. Well worth a visit! But a serious... More

Consider a hotel with a monopoly at its location, - nowhere else to go - and a regular customer base. What youshould ensure is to keeo your customers happy. This place is ovepriced, but you have no other options with the most scenic view you can imagine. A paradox? Definitely! The bathroom in our room was due for a severe... More

Me and my son went to Lovund for my 50'th birthday, three years ago. The puffins are coming in from the North Sea exactely the same date every year - at my birthday. It was an fantastic experience. You just have to remember to bring warm clothes, just in case - depending on the time of year and the weather.... More

Peace and quiet = this place. We enjoyed the terrace, the walks around the coast and loved watching the puffins in the evening. The puffins come in late April and stay until August. Within 20 minutes of climbing up a hillside, we saw them just about 25-50 m from us. WOW BEST FRESH SEAFOOD!

I could go on about how nice the rooms were and how good the service was and the nice sauna and it's all true, but the one thing I will remember most of all about this place is the fantastic food. I can really hardly get over how good the food was. The scenery was also breathtaking and when you... More
