My wife and I stayed at Malones the first week of October. The cabin was very nice everything was clean and very enjoyable and everything worked. The river is beautiful and so are the grounds. The Malones keep everything in good condition. A very location for couples and families. Eat at the Thirsty Sturgeon while visiting Wolverine. We will be... More

The cabins are as pictured. They are right on the Sturgeon River and surrounded by lovely pine trees. Although they are right off the main road, once you are on the property, you feel as if you are deep in the woods. The cabins are clean and have all of the basic things you need. However, you need to bring... More

The cabins are clean, lots of room, easy to find, and right on the river. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need to cook with. They are close to town, and the woods. We have stayed with our kids, and brought grandparents and great grandparents and they all loved it!

I came up here the beginning of August to kayak with friends on the Sturgeon River. These cabins were very cute and clean. I loved being 10 foot from the river. My bowl of cold cereal in the morning tasted a hundred times better when sitting on a picnic table three feet from a gently flowing stream. The Malone's keep... More

We stayed in cabin 2 in July 2014, there were 2 adult married couples. The cabin has 2 bedrooms and plenty of room for the four of us. We all commented all weekend how beautiful the whole place was. It was very clean, very quiet and we couldn't have asked for anything, it was perfect. We even forgot a crock... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at Malone's cabins while we vacationed the upper part of the lower peninsula. I was scared she wouldn't care for staying in cabin being she's more of a hotel person, but to my surprise she fell in love. We were in cabin 1 and located on the beautiful sturgeon river. The cabin was cozy, had... More

We stayed at Malone's for 3 nights in cabin one in August of 2013. I loved that our cabin was directly on the river (as all 4 cabins are). The location was beautiful. The cabin was older but very well kept and clean. The owners were friendly and checking in and out was extremely easy. The area was very quiet... More

I am very surprised by the previous review as we also stayed at Malone's in early July but had a very pleasant experience and would certainly stay there again. The owner was accommodating and friendly. The cabins are very clean and well stocked and we found the bed comfortable. The grounds are immaculately maintained. The river runs right beside the... The floor was slanted....it had a strong musty odor until we aired it out (which they could have done but didn't)....there were little annoying notes throughout the cabin telling you all the "rules" which are basically common sense....the beds are so hard and uncomfortable my back still hurts....and that is why I left two days early....she would not give a... This place has been here forever. I stayed here with my parents over 35 years ago and I stay here now with my family when we venture up north. Cabins are clean and well stocked with all of the ammenities, dishes, grill etc. Each cabin has an area for a campfire and the serenity of the Sturgeon River rushing by... More
