When we first arrived, we met the owner (Helen). She is kind and patient. She offered suggestions and ideas for dinner. They have done a very nice job of decorating A Finch Nest with some antiques and a hint of Victorian elegance. Each room is equipped with a wonderful jet bath. I took two while there. The bathroom also had... More

We visited nearby Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp which is just a few minutes away and found "A Finch Nest" on the internet. We would definitely recommend it as a truly first-class, warm, comfortable, immaculate and soothing lodging experience. The rooms were large and way more inviting than we could have expected. The whole house is furnished with gorgeous antiques.... More

This was the first night of a 4 day bike trip. The house was lovely, the hosts gracious, the food delicious, and our room (goldfinch) was perfect with a whirlpool tub to soothe our tired bodies. The town is really very interesting for an evening walk, and a fun farmer's market on Sat. morning.

My granddaughter and I stayed here for one night and were totally and pleasantly surprised. The room, Indigo Bunting was large and the bathroom the best we had on the whole trip. The bed was the most comfortable. There was something interesting to read, see and enjoy through out the common rooms. Helen and Andy were warm and gracious and... More

Am writing this on our second night of a two night stay. Very good breakfast and nice accommodations in a home claimed to be over 140 years old. Whitehall is a great area to visit for a two night stay, and I recommend that you check out the Finch Nest's Sam's Bistro two night package. Sam's Bistro is a great... More

We just returned from a stay at A Finch Nest. I must say that when we pulled up to this old victorian house in a residential neighborhood we were a bit skeptical. Surprise surprise when we walked in and realized that we judged the book by the cover. The entire house was done several years ago and looked immaculate. Everything... More

What a wonderful bed and breakfast! A+ in every aspect! Our first floor room (the oriole's nest) was immaculate, well furnished, with nice linens and a fabulous bathroom - probably the best bathroom we've seen in many, many b & b's. It had a large (but not too large) whirlpool tub, a two-person shower with a great showerhead and water... More
