Just to be sort of gloating, this is such an experience I can not do justice in describing this place of tranquility with nature and the surrounding grounds, this is my 4th birthday weekend visiting this place "in God's country"... you will see eagles, ducks, geese, deer, and song birds of all types here... I do this to renew my... More

The Barothy Lodge is nestled in a forest With incredible species of fowl, deer, turkeys, swans and squirrels! The lodges are beautifully decorated, each have their own bird feeders that allow close encounters with woodpeckers, finches, blue jays, cardinals and many more. The lodges come equipped with all necessities except televisions! However with all the wildlife there is no need... More

Wonderful place. great views, lots of fish. Will be back. Lodges are fabulous, stayed at Beaver , Should have brought more people, only had 5. Stainless steel cookware, (Make sure you know how to to cook on it. May sound dumb, but most people don't know.)

My family has rented a lodge here off and on for about 15 years. Came back this year and it was even better. Miles of trails thru the woods and along the river. Lots of wildlife to enjoy. Lodges even have their own stocked bird feeders. Inside you only need to bring your food as everything else is provided in... More

This is a beautiful place with great accommodations for large parties. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed all of us staying in one place together preparing meals and spending time together. My complaint is with the management. On numerous occasions we were given misinformation and management was not willing to work with me as a customer at all. We... More

Barothy Lodge’s 320 acres are bounded by the Manistee National Forest. Our property is a forest, river, and wetland preserve for a rich population of wildlife. We also raise various water and domestic fowl in our ponds and wetlands. A flock of African Geese might wander by your deck or a family of wild deer, among other species. We protect... More

I have been a Barothy customer for many years and have enjoyed my many stays! However; on our recent stay, the heat went out on a very cold day. We called and left a message, but no one ever got in touch and the office staff addressed it when they came in the following morning. Needless to say, there should... More

We take guests' comfort seriously and this boiler failure was very unfortunate and rare. As soon as our staff was made aware action was taken. Had the guests walked the few yards to the office and pushed the after-hours bell the repairman would have been on property in no more than an hour. As it happened, the message was discovered... Our family celebrated my mother's 90th birthday at Whitetail Lodge at Barothy. It was an absolute amazing experience! The lodge is gorgeous and every little detail is thought out. We stayed one night but wish we could have stayed for a week. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. Guest services at the Lodge were so prompt with answering all my... More

Our semi-large family has been coming to Barothy for 11 years, and every year it always impresses. It is very unique, away from everything, and it is a nice way to escape from society for a little bit. It is about 30 mins from Ludington though, which is nice in case you need to go to Meijer, etc. We've been... More

We had a family reunion here in july 2012! After searching for a placethis fit our family perfectly! We had family from out East, out West, midwest coming so it had to be a place that had airport access and car rentals. The lodges ranged in size from 1 bedroom to 9 bedrooms. The lodges were in a woodsy back... More

Decided to visit for my 55th Birthday, needed to de-stress and relax. I've been visiting the area since I was eleven and just now discovered this gem! Stayed at the log cabin, it had just snowed the night before and the scenery was like out of a Ansel Adams photograph. Was planning on going out for dinner at one of... More
