Have been visiting Inn at Union Pier for years. One of those places that, when you arrive, you say," I'm home!!" Inn keeper, Bill Jann is the warmest, most sincere man on earth. If you're new to The Inn, he'll escort you throughout starting with The Great Room, a hugh, high ceiling yet warm collection of conversation centers featuring Michigan... More

Hi Stever, What took you so long to send in your review? Please come and see the Great House and the renovations we made last December after you were here. The Captain's Quarters is pretty much the same, but we now have a new "Love Seat" that you can relax in front of the fireplace. All the flooring downstairs has... More

this B&B was worth every penny When my wife proclaimed " its beautiful" with tears in her eyes. You can tell the building is almost 100 years old when see the architecture, and the intricate wood work. It looks like it was restored very recently, but my research has shown that it was restored many years ago. The staff seems... More

I was looking for a beautiful one-night get-away place near the Indiana-Michigan border, and found more than that with The Inn at Union Pier! It might seem a little out of place down a small, unassuming side-street, but it was a breath of fresh air! Parking was no problem, as they have designated spaces across from the Inn. We were... Hopefully you will come back and will be able to stay 2 nights. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and come stay with us in the New Year. Regards, Mary Ann More

We just spent the weekend at this beautiful inn. We were served great breakfasts both days and the atmosphere is relaxing. There's an outdoor hot tub and the rooms are large with fireplaces. No TV...a real getaway.

Hi Patricia, Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review about your stay at the Inn. I'm so glad you didn't mind being without a TV in the room. Most people are so busy visiting wineries, antiquing, hiking, or eating at restaurants they don't have time to watch TV anyway. Please come and see us again... More

Would recommend this bed & breakfast to all. It is close to the beach, numerous wineries and several small towns along the lake with great shopping, good food & wonderful scenic views. The breakfasts were awesome and the staff was very friendly and very helpful.

We stayed at the inn for one night, but wished we could have stayed longer! The surroundings and the inn were beautiful; a big garden with relaxing seats, a very comfortable, big bed, a relaxing common room with piano music in the background where we felt completely at peace. The whole inn is very stylishly decorated. Close to the beach... More

Just returned from 3 nights at the Inn at Union Pier, Wednesday through Saturday. What a find! During the week, this place is quiet, peaceful and perfect for wandering to the close-by beach, or reading at a table in the wonderful courtyard. On Friday the pace picked up with the extra guests just enough to give the Inn a retro-style... More

Dear Debbie and Jay, So happy you had a quiet and relaxing stay with us for three nights. It was our pleasure to hear you play and sing during the wine hour. Live music is always better than the recorded music. The piano doesn't get played very often because we tell people they can play it only if they play... More

My husband and I stayed in the Dandelion Room--king bed, desk, comfortable reading chair with good lighting. On second floor, stairs a bit steep. The best thing about the Inn for us was all the outdoor seating areas---we spent all our time outside on one of the decks. A social hour with wine and popcorn (many reviews rave about the... More

hi T&R, Great to hear from you and glad you enjoyed your stay with us. The Dandelion room is my favorite in the Great House because the cheerful color, desk, and good lighting for reading. Maybe next time you come you should try the Pier House Whisperwood or Beachcomber with the wrap around deck right outside your room. Thank you... More

Bill and his team were very helpful in planning our reunion. The rooms were clean, nicely furnished and lovely. Hi Lori, Your family members were fun and friendly. It was our pleasure having them stay at the Inn. We love when people gather in the Great Room and play games and actually talk to each other and put away their Ipads and phones. After months of hectic work schedules, we wanted a quiet get-a-way that offered time to talk, relax, and enjoy nature. Based on comments of coworkers and magazines, we selected Inn at Union Pier.
