Old world European farm house style and hospitality makes this establishment an excellent choice for wine enthusiasts and beach goers alike. Originally built in the 1920's, this building has been classically restored to its former grandeur. The staff is eager to please and the peaceful setting is perfect for a romantic stay for two.

My husband and I spent three nights here in July as a mini vacation from Chicago. We stayed in the Madeleine room. We were very pleased with our room and private balcony. The Inn is situated on a tree lined street just a block from Lake Michigan. On our first night we walked to the Roadhouse Restaurant, which is up... More

I spent 11 days at the Inn at Union Pier this July. Every single minute was just how I wanted to spend my 60th Birthday. Mary Ann the Inn Keeper runs the inn as if it was her home and you are her personal guests. Lori head of housekeeping and her staff keep the inn immaculate. I will continue whenever... More

We went to The Inn for a one-night anniversary trip. It exceeded our expectations: the staff is friendly, the accommodations are clean and adorable, and the food was great. We checked in on a Monday afternoon and took the 3-minute walk to the beach. The Inn supplies towels, chairs, and rafts that you can take with you. After the beach,... More

My husband and I had our wedding and reception at the Inn. We had 30 guests and booked 15 of the 16 rooms. Our ceremony was on the cobblestone and reception was in the grassy opening on the opposite side of the walkway. There was lots to do around the area: the men went skeet shooting at Deer Creek Hunting... More

The Inn at Union Pier features some very strong positives and a few minor negatives. Location is a big plus, with excellent restaurants, galleries and shopping nearby, the beach a short walk away (though it involves climbing quite a few steps), and a laid back and very safe atmosphere. Another big plus is the friendliness and competence of the staff.... More

Mary Ann the manager is a sweetheart. Went out of her way to accommodate us. We had a lovely time there and so so close to the beach. Enjoyed relaxed days resting in the garden and walking the quiet beach. Breakfast was great... The local restaurant scene could have been better

My husband romantically booked us the charming Garden View apartment, on the third floor overlooking the courtyard, for our 25th wedding anniversary -- the inn was where we went for our first weekend away together when we were dating years ago. This is an elegant, laidback place, with a friendly staff. We arrived on Friday night with no dinner reservations,... More

My husband and I went for our 9th anniversary last month (5/2015) and loved this place. This was our first time staying at a B&B and we cannot wait to visit again. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The inn keepers were extremely helpful in pointing us to area attractions and the breakfast was amazing! Definitely will be making... More

My husband and I recently stayed here for a wedding. The whole place was rented for the weekend. The inn was quite accommodating. We stayed in the pier house - across from the main house. We were in the Madeline room - room was okay with a nice porch. Only one A/C for the building - weather was moderate so... More

Hi C & R, Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on your stay at the Inn. The Inn is a lovely setting for a small wedding and Christy and Matt had the most beautiful weather the day of the wedding. We offer a full breakfast alternating a bread dish one day and an egg dish the... More
