The staff is more like family. They are warm and welcoming. The staff accommodated a lady who wished to watch TV but was not in a room that has one. The lake is a block away. Breakfast is exceptional.

Hi J & K, Great to have you stay with us again. You are family to us since you keep coming back and sometimes two or three times a year. Most people that come here don't even want a TV and are happy there isn't one in the room. We always have the big one in the dining room. There's... More

Where do I begin? I know the reservation. I should if been leery when asked to pay my entire bill before I even got there. I told them it was my first visit and there was a storm coming . Could I possibly come one day later? NO. Not unless they could get someone else to book my room. When... More

This is a perfect spot for a beach vacation. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts each morning, spent lots of time at the beach (with the help of the Inn's beach rafts, towels, & umbrellas), went for a bike ride (also compliments of the Inn), and enjoyed quiet evenings. The staff is warm and attentive. We will definitely come again!

The Inn at Union Pier is so cozy, the staff is so friendly, and the food and snacks are so good, that we have visited 44 times throughout different seasons of the year! The new redecorating really brighten the B&B. The beach and numerous restaurants are close, and biking and walking in the area are as relaxing as reading a... More

Hi AJ and Norman, Can't believe how many times you have been here over the last 30 or so years. It's always great to see you especially for Norman's birthday. It doesn't seem like July 4th unless you are here to celebrate Norman's birthday. Hope to see you over the winter months if the weather isn't too bad. Enjoy the... More

We had a pleasant stay and appreciated the inn 's proximity to the beach and harbor towns. The signage on the beach itself is pretty awful- it's a public access pocket beach carved out between two sign-posted 'keep out -private lake front' properties so you'll enjoy the beach but you'll do it sandwiched between two no trespassing signs which is... We want to thank you for your nice comments about your pleasant stay at the Inn. We're sorry about the signs at the beach. They are there because people would leave their trash all over the private beaches and the people became tired of having to clean up after everyone. Next time make sure you sit in front of the... I'm so glad you enjoyed your romantic getaway at our Inn. I.m not sure what building you stayed in but my guess is the Cottage of the Four Seasons. This coming winter we will be giving plenty of TLC to the rooms and mattresses. We will also be replacing several mattresses in the Pier House too. Next time try booking... More

We came here with a bike group at the end of June and the owner and his wife could not have been more helpful. Answered everyone's questions whether it was about dinners or bike routes or bike storage etc. It seems we used every darling room in the inn during our weekend from the great deck to cute garden tables... Thank you for taking the time to tell about your lovely stay at our Inn. The weather was a little chilly, but anythings better than the past winter we all had. Hi A & P, Yes, keep coming back to the Inn! I was glad you upgraded to the Idylls room and didn't have to change rooms. Don't forget about the Winter months when you can use the Swedish fireplaces and hopefully there won't be as much snow this winter as last. Thank you for spreading the word about The Inn... More

A fun weekend get-a-way! This place allows for full enjoyment of Southwestern Michigan: nearby wineries, beach-access, beach cruisers for exploring and a wonderful hot-tub. Not to mention the scrumptious breakfasts served every morning and the constant supply of cookies!

Hi Bret, Glad you enjoyed the cookies, delicious breakfasts, free bikes, and hot tub. Our baker, Sandy, wondered where all the cookies went last week. She had to make extra because we've been so busy during the week besides being booked every weekend until Labor Day weekend. The Cottage of the Four Seasons is being renovated and updated this upcoming... More
