It had been too long since our last visit. Our stay at the Inn was relaxing and refreshing. The staff go above and beyond without being intrusive. Breakfast is always a gourmet treat and we look forward to the wine and popcorn in the afternoon. Lake Michigan is only 250 steps away and great restaurants are nearby. It os always... More

This is an ideal beach inn. We stayed in the Fall Room, which is in the smallest of the three buildings on the property. The room is quaint, with a porch outside that looks into a pretty garden area and connects via a walkway to the other buildings. The beach is a very short walk away, across the street and... More

The Innkeeper suggested that I reserve "The Sandpiper" room at the Inn at Union Pier B & B. I've never met him, but he was spot on! It was lovely. The General Manager, Mary Ann, treated all of my family members (weekend reunion) as if we were her best friends; the kitchen staff did an outstanding job keeping all of... More

First time we stayed here and it was all around excellent. Short walk to the beach, bikes to use, beach chairs, beautiful gardens, immaculate room and common areas, delicious breakfasts. All the staff were so friendly and efficient. Best place I ever stayed at, so close to wineries, great restaurants, pretty setting. Cant wait to go back! Met some great... More

Thank you for your wonderful comments about the Inn. Each of the three buildings has its own charm. There are some people who request the same room every year and some who try to stay in a different room each time. You stayed in the Cottage of the Four Seasons which is the closest to the hot tub and bikes... More

Bill and his crew were very gracious hosts. The room (Dandelion) was perfect. I would definitely stay again especially when this beach is only 3 hours from home vs 12 hours to the Atlantic/Gulf area. Many restaurants in nearby New Buffalo to try. The wine and popcorn from 5-7 pm is a great way to unwind before going to dinner.... More

Hi Jeff, Thank you so much for setting people straight that there are no "cottages" here. We have three buildings on our property which are all unique and charming. Two of the buildings have been completely renovated within the last two years and the third building is scheduled for a re-do this winter. People love coming here for the close access... More

Had a good stay here. Great location for walking to the beach and to several restaurants/cafés. Enjoyed the extras like the free bikes, beach chairs, beach towels, and outside seating. Nice that breakfast was "real food" and filling. Very friendly staff. Nice lobby and gathering area. Popcorn and cookies!

Hi Elizabeth, You are right about our Great Location! More and more people are realizing that we are just a three minute walk to the beach and there are no stairs. Our Inn makes you feel like you are at home with snacks and beverages throughout the day, plenty of space to relax inside and outside, walking distance to restaurants,... More

The staff is more like family. They are warm and welcoming. The staff accommodated a lady who wished to watch TV but was not in a room that has one. The lake is a block away. Breakfast is exceptional.

Hi J & K, Great to have you stay with us again. You are family to us since you keep coming back and sometimes two or three times a year. Most people that come here don't even want a TV and are happy there isn't one in the room. We always have the big one in the dining room. There's... More

Where do I begin? I know the reservation. I should if been leery when asked to pay my entire bill before I even got there. I told them it was my first visit and there was a storm coming . Could I possibly come one day later? NO. Not unless they could get someone else to book my room. When... More

This is a perfect spot for a beach vacation. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts each morning, spent lots of time at the beach (with the help of the Inn's beach rafts, towels, & umbrellas), went for a bike ride (also compliments of the Inn), and enjoyed quiet evenings. The staff is warm and attentive. We will definitely come again!

The Inn at Union Pier is so cozy, the staff is so friendly, and the food and snacks are so good, that we have visited 44 times throughout different seasons of the year! The new redecorating really brighten the B&B. The beach and numerous restaurants are close, and biking and walking in the area are as relaxing as reading a... More

Hi AJ and Norman, Can't believe how many times you have been here over the last 30 or so years. It's always great to see you especially for Norman's birthday.
