The Inn at Union Pier, just steps away from walking on the sandy shore or swimming in crystal clear Lake Michigan, is wonderful: elegant, and yet totally easy going and comfortable. All decorations are tasteful (as are the breakfasts), the spacious common room is a truly inviting area to play games, chat, or play the piano (a beautiful Steinway), and... More

The Inn at Union Pier is a romantic and magical place where you can relax and reconnect. From check in to check out, everything was perfect! The inn is right across the street from the beach and centrally located to restaurants, breweries and wineries in the area. We purchased a Living Social Deal and went for a spring break weekend... Pros: GREAT Service and Attitude from the staff Free High-Signal Wifi Breakfast was good Most everything appeared to be in clean condition Cons: Our fireplace was not working-this was a huge let-down, especially since this was the reason why we chose the place. We weren't informed of this prior to arrival. The room was not really our taste, which is... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the Inn this past weekend to celebrate our 1 yr wedding anniversary. I must say I was so glad that we did. After my husband got over the initial shock of not having a television in the room (lol) we were able to fully take in the snowy scenery and enjoy the peace... More

My wife and I came up this weekend for an early Valentines getaway- what a lovely trip it was!! MaryAnn and Mylette were just wonderful in helping us get checked in - they did everything possible to help us feel warm and cozy. :-) The Madeline room is lovely, bummer the fireplace wasn't working, but it was warm enough, we... Hi Linda and Mary, It was great talking to you and glad you felt spoiled. The weather was horrible this weekend, but everyone stayed close by and hung out in the great room. Hope to see you again in the summer since you aren't very far away. Thanks for giving us a great review. Regards, Mary Ann More

We recently stayed at the Inn to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Since it was in January, there will only a few other rooms occupied and we felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. It was lovely and quiet. We especially loved the complimentary wine and popcorn for happy hour, homemade cookies for snack time, and the delicious breakfasts.... More

Have been visiting Inn at Union Pier for years. One of those places that, when you arrive, you say," I'm home!!" Inn keeper, Bill Jann is the warmest, most sincere man on earth. If you're new to The Inn, he'll escort you throughout starting with The Great Room, a hugh, high ceiling yet warm collection of conversation centers featuring Michigan... More

Hi Stever, What took you so long to send in your review? Please come and see the Great House and the renovations we made last December after you were here. this B&B was worth every penny When my wife proclaimed " its beautiful" with tears in her eyes. You can tell the building is almost 100 years old when see the architecture, and the intricate wood work. It looks like it was restored very recently, but my research has shown that it was restored many years ago. The staff seems... More

I was looking for a beautiful one-night get-away place near the Indiana-Michigan border, and found more than that with The Inn at Union Pier! It might seem a little out of place down a small, unassuming side-street, but it was a breath of fresh air! Parking was no problem, as they have designated spaces across from the Inn. We were...
