One of the biggest problems with Gordon Beach Inn is that its sister property, Lakeside Inn, is just so darn perfect. We were traveling Labor Day weekend and Lakeside was booked, so we decided to stay at Gordon Beach Inn instead. To be fair, Gordon Beach Inn's website is really upfront that if you are looking for something more quiet,... More

The lobby has been taken over with extra tables for the restaurant which is open to the public. Inn guests do not get preferred parking during restaurant operating hrs nor is there any space given to guests to lounge by the fireplace or anywhere much in the lobby area besides 2 old sofas set haphazardly where there is some space.... Although this hidden treasure can be a little noisy on a busy summer weekend, Sunday through Thursday can make up for it. It's a step back to a time when life was at a slower pace. Stepping into the lobby you feel as if the the year was 1925. the stone fireplace and woodwork look like the set from a... More

I wish the sign had said that! I was in town for my Son's wedding, and what should have been a wonderful quaint experience, quickly turned into the vacation from Hell. On my recommendation the entire Bridal Party, relatives from out of town, and the Parents of the Groom, all booked rooms here. The first impression was very disappointing, but... More

This place is old, shabby, dark, mildewy and run down. Toilets don't flush all the way and everthing is old. NOT QUAINT... OLD!!The front desk is vacant from 10pm until 8am the next day. No in-room coffee and lobby coffee is at 8:30. No breakfast or lunch foods available without driving into town. We were there for a family wedding... More

We just got back from a 3 night stay there. We were in town for a wedding that weekend and decided to stay at the Inn… I never write reviews like this, but this place was so bad, I had to warn anyone I can not to stay here. When you walk in, you will feel a cold breeze…. That... More

If you want to sit in a cramped, cold, noisy room, with a 9 inch TV with bad reception and broken remote, old ratty linens, wallpaper peeling from walls, paint peeling off floors and no control of temperature, curtains looked like they were hand sewn from old sheets, this is the place for you. My husband surprised me (and how)... More

The previous review from Packer Backer on Aug 27, 2007 hit it right on. They could care less for whoever stays at the Inn. This place has no common area for guests where you could relax and enjoy wine from the many fabulous wineries. The little area they do have is shared by the restaurant and has many people coming... We recently stayed at the Gordon Beach Inn for a long weekend. It was ok, not what I expected for the money we paid. The main focus of the Inn is the restaurant, Timothy’s, with little attention to the guests of the Inn and the rooms. Some of the staff was very helpful, and others were less than helpful. The... I have stayed here several times and really like the location. It is close to the beach and close to town (both about a 10 minute walk). It is in a nice residential neighborhood that is also good for walking around. The rooms are very basic, but also reasonably priced and were clean. They only provide soap, so make sure... More
