We stayed here for two nights when a friend was married across the street at the Inn at Union Pier. The Inn doesn't allow children so we chose to stay here, as we have a one year old. The cabin itself was spacious and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. You pay extra for maid service though and... More

We had a family group that rented 5 units! It was fun seeing all the other units that are individually owned and everyone liked ours the best #16. Firefly Resort grounds are beautiful and well maintained with mature big snowball hydrangeas everywhere. The "'backyard" area is family friendly with lots of picnic tables, chairs, firepit, volley ball, the other renters... More

We loved the location -- easy access to the wonderful beach, easy access to restaurants and the farmers market. Bed was comfortable. We loved that the resort has cottages which are dog friendly. We had read some previous reviews that caused us some concerns but our cottage in high season was immaculate and fully supplied with paper towels, toilet paper,... More

The cabins were wonderful. They are older which we thought gave them charm. We didn't need anything during our stay, and we were there for 5 nights. We had everything we needed during our stay. The beach was a short walk away and was beautiful. I would highly recommend visiting St. Joseph as they have a carousel, children's museum, and... More

My family and I have stayed at a few resorts/cottages in Union Pier, Fire Fly was by far the worst. We arrived at one of the nicer cottages, unpacked and headed to the beach. Upon return from the beach we found note that said we had to move to another cottage, management had misread the dates. Ok, mistakes happen. We... More

We stayed in one of the more recently renovated cabins (#3) at the Fire Fly Resort and had a wonderful stay. The location is fantastic, and for my wife and I as cyclists, the area offers great access to a large network of bike trails of varying difficulty that we could explore. Lots of activities nearby, and a private association-owned... More

We have stayed at the Fire Fly at least 12 separate times over many years so we know what we are talking about. First let me talk about the good. The location is perfect! While there are no lake views, it is on a quiet street only a 2 minute walk away from a semi-private (Neighborhood Association) beach directly on... More
