I was there for 4 nights, but when I arrived I was expecting a kind of new/or at least nice updated hotel as it is in a really good area, but the hotel is old, the rooms are very small, also the bathrooms, the rug smells not so good ( so all the rooms was smelly ) the shower was... More

We decided to stay at this hotel because we previously lived in the area. The area is very upscale and we thought the hotel would be a better choice than others in the area. We were very disappointed. When we arrived the hotel did not have anyone to help us with luggage which is not usually a concern but it... More

A cosy place centrally located in Troy. Easy access to the mall and offices. Well maintained rooms with a fresh feel. A good competition to other upward positioned business hotels. Quick check in and check out is a big help.

Chose this hotel because it is right across the street from the mall (easy to walk to Nieman Marcus entrance). Rooms are comfortable & very quiet except from the in-room A/C unit. Front desk staff is very pleasant & helpful. Coffee maker in the room & free coffee in the morning in the restaurant. Also, freshly backed cookies in the... More

One of the only reasons I booked this hotel is because of the walking distance from an amazing mall. I found that the mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable. The bathroom had a few pieces of black hair that was not ours. The positive thing other than the location is the front desk staff are very nice. This hotel needs... More

4 nites during Thanksgiving week: Quite nice -- good room, good bed, quiet ( the parking lot was packed, but one rarely saw many people) -- food was above average "hotel food." Service was gracious. All in all a good stay in a much better than a motel stay. The group rate was wonderfully low.

got a great walk-in rate from them. made the mistake of getting only a queen bed-when you are used to a king-it really seem ssmall. Room air unit was way too noisy and without it running-the room air gets stale pretty quick. Why do people slam their doors in hotels-crazy-they wouldn't do it at home-but at a hotel they must... I usually stay at Drury Inn in troy, but the difference in rooms rates-$165 Drury vs $99 for Somerset, influenced my decision. All in all, Somerset was a good value. Very nice staff, comfortable bed, great location. I guess my biggest issue was the bathroom was small and a bit dated. Having said that, I would stay there again because... More

I went out here for work for a large chunk of time, and I just wasn't that impressed. There were some good points to the hotel, but I think the bad outweighs it, though it is close. First off, location. Probably the best part of the hotel. There is a high end mall right across the street, easy to get... More

I was a bit leery booking here after reading the reviews but decided to book it anyway because of the location to the mall and Ocean Prime. I know how critical people can be and after staying here can say that whoever rates this poorly was just being too judgmental. I mean, most people I know nowadays don't clean their... More
