Just returned from a 2 night weekend stay at the Detroit Marriot Troy. My wife and I go to the Metropolitan Detroit area once or twice a year to go shopping in the States. (We're Canadians, from Toronto) This is the first time that we have stayed at the Marriot in Troy. The room was very clean and we had... more

Stayed here for business for just over a week. The good thing about such a long stay is that you really get to know the quirks of the hotel. The bad thing is that you get to know the quirks of the hotel. Good: Rooms are nice and well appointed. Bed was comfortable and there was a couch, desk and... more

I have stayed for years at this property and once it was well managed, however since the economic issues of detroit some of its staff especially its front desk manager has lost what use to make this property very nice. There is stress amoung its managment and service and putting the client first is no longer significant. I suggest Marriot... more

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the years. We absolutely love it. The location is great. The beds are super comfortable. The swimming pool is one of the best. There are always fresh apples in the lobby for guests. The staff is well trained and very helpful. We have requested an early check in... more

I spend about 125-150 nights per year at a Marriott. I only compliment for good service when I feel it's above and beyond what is expected. So everything about this stay was average... the room, concierge lounge, housekeeping, front desk etc. Except for when I had to call downstairs 3 times for my laundry. Each time i was told 5-10... more

I stayed at this hotel for one night on May 20th. Flew from Hong Kong to Dallas and did business. Then I flew to Philadelphia for a day and on to Detroit, staying at this hotel. I left the hotel at 5AM to leave for the airport to fly to Cincinnati. On the plane, I realized I left a bag... more

Stayed at the hotel for a dance convention weekend of January 16 thru 18th. The hotel was booked solid. Due to Michigan's inclement weather, we arrived late (8:00 p.m.) There was only a King with a roll away available. I asked if we could have something a bit bigger as one of our Male dancers was staying with us, due... more

January 13, 2009. Two business colleagues and I had the opportunity to spend one night at the Detroit Marriott Troy hotel when business required us to be in the area. The hotel is on Big Beaver Road, about a quarter mile east of I75 in Troy. There is plenty of free parking in the parking structure behind the hotel or... more

My wife and I stayed overnight at the Troy Marriott with our two daughters recently. At check-in, the front desk clerk was courteous but rather perfunctory. No doubles were available, so she offered us a king with a fold-out sofa. The sofa turned out to be about the size of a twin bed, with no bedding supplied in the room.... more
