this hotel do not have the WiFi, no room service and they do not change sheets or clean, we had terrible experience and staffs were so mean to the guests. try different hotel even if the cost is little high. the reason it shows lesser price compared to the other hotels but they charge administrative fees every day of your... Hotels these days need Internet. Wifi was available in the hallway, but not in our room. Front desk said we should have it. We thought so too. No in-room coffee. Staff was helpful. The room was large and clean. Get two key cards. Increases the odds that one of them will work. It does need updating, but it isn't terrible.

Strange smell of mildew in the first room. After enduring the desk for a second time we were sent to the 2nd floor in which the room looked lived in as if someone had to leave in a hurry. It was equipped with messy sheets and missing items. No need to move me again I didn't stay to endure the... More

My stay at the met has been quite peaceful compared to some reviews. The building could use some updating, but I enjoy the eclectic collection of furniture and art. The price is really reasonable for the location, and the beds are super comfy! Feather pillows and comforters? I didn't know hotels did that! I'm enjoying the people and collecting funny... More

When I visit Detroit (former native) wacky things happen. When I tell people, we agree, its a "Detroit Thing." Under staffed places, sketchy clientele, and plain weirdness. If you are looking to wallow a bit in Detroitness without (luckily) full immersion, this is the place for you! Upon check in a very anxious resident rushes up to the desk clerk... More

The Met looks like it was a fine hotel in its day. Today, it is showing signs of wear. Normally, I would rate this hotel as average but my rate is just $49 per night. For a very pricey city (Troy, MI), the Met really stands out as a value option. It may be dated but is is clean, quiet... More

Check in took over an hour and a half. The staff was completely overwhelmed and unable to do the simplest things. Don't waste your time on the bedbug infested dump. I am disabled and asked simply for a room on the 1st floor. I was initially refused. The clerk said it was too much work for them to shuffle guests... More

No maid service at all and front desk put 2 fraudulent charges on my credit card. Hotel was filthy at best and broken down. Worst place ever. I will never stay here again. We had a note on our door at 8:15 am saying we missed maid service and we made 3 requests afterwards that were ignored. Tub was filthy... More

What a dump. This place needs to be levelled. Unfortunately the hotel in Troy we always stay at was fully booked and in a rush we booked this. Looked OK pulling up at night in the dark, likely why they only have one or two of the parking lot lights with a working bulb (other 30-40 are burnt out). The... More

No question, the Met is a bit down at the heels and could use a good refreshing. I also found the hall design off-putting (long, curved, no windows). The TV was a bit "snowy", a condition I haven't seen in years. And I don't know who thought it would be a good idea to have paper shades in the bathroom;... More
