This is a very basic motel, with the greatest plus point being on the waterfront with its own private beach, with boat & watercraft rentals right on the beach. I was there with 4 other classmates (1953 graduates) We found this motel not clean, not much of anything was working. NO PHONE, LIGHTS NOT GOOD,NO OFFICE PERSONAL HALF THE TIME. Room was clean but bedding was dirty to even look at. We were not empressed at all. Would never stay here again. more
We at the sands do not appreciate inappropriate reviews being wrote. During these womens stay they came to us with there complaints at check out requesting money back. We were looking for a cheap clean place on the beach and we couldn't have found a better place than The Sands! Terrific counterperson, clean rooms (a little on the smallish side) but it had everything we needed! Micro, fridge, beachfront super clean and had cont. breakfast included for 75/night weekday.
