My husband went on a long weekend trip in Traverse city and stayed here for two nights. It was fabulous! We will definitely be returning to Wellington Inn. It is so quaint, beautifully decorated antique bed and breakfast with the greatest service. Barb and Hand were fabulous as were their cooks. We stayed in the Ferris Chamber which was awesome,... The Wellington Inn is a beautiful historic house in downtown Traverse City. There are nine guest rooms each with a private bathroom and small flat-screen TV. Two guest rooms have private balconies. We stayed in the Votruba Chamber (corner room on second floor). It is a nice size room with a comfortable queen bed and small electric fireplace. In the... More

We spent two wonderful nights as guests of Hank and Barb in their beautifully restored home. What they have done to bring this home up to the magnificent state that it is, is truly amazing. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet and the breakfasts were superb and served by a very friendly staff. When we wanted a snack or... More

These most beautiful rooms were elegantly decorated for Christmas! This mansion is magnificent with so much of its original beauty! The breakfasts were wonderful and we also had access to the upstairs common room (original ballroom) and kitchen filled with snacks, water, beer, and wine. Barb and Hank are such a treasure! We felt so very welcome and were given... More

My husband & I stayed here in July. We loved the location. It is somewhat secluded and quiet but so close to down town. Less than 5 minute walk to downtown. Barb & Hank are very welcoming and seem happy to give suggestions. The mansion is very beautiful on the outside. We were a little overwhelmed by the decor on... More

My Wife and I stayed one night in the Wellington and it was far too short a stay. The building is beautiful, the decor is amazing, the innkeepers are the best, and breakfast... oh, the breakfast! Our room was decorated for Christmas and was as cozy as any room in which I've stayed; the bed was comfy, the fireplace was... More

Step back in time to this turn of the century masterpiece. Each room has been lovingly restored to its original grander. My large room had the original master bath which still has the oversized soaking tube and pedestal sink. The cozy fireplace warmed the large room on a snowy early winter night. I slept well in the custom made made.... More

Last week we broke our tradition of staying at Chateau Chantal while up in Traverse City, Michigan. Something very old became something "New" for us and was incredible! The Wellington Inn is the most beautifully restored inn that we have ever seem! This former mansion had been divided into several separate units. However, Barb and Hank had the exquisite vision,... The Innkeepers, Barb & Hank, took good care of us! They were knowledgeable about the area as well as the beautiful home we stayed in. We were looking for a different experience - other than just staying at a hotel, and this fit the bill. It was fun to imagine how the Hull family (original owners) would have used their... More

The old homestead was lovely and located right downtown Traverse City. Most of the original fixtures were restored and functioned well. I imagine lots of work and money went into the restoration. The inn keepers were nice, one of them would play the piano every morning until the guests arrived for breakfast. I encourage him to continue, but he said... More
