My husband & I stayed here in July. We loved the location. It is somewhat secluded and quiet but so close to down town. Less than 5 minute walk to downtown. Barb & Hank are very welcoming and seem happy to give suggestions. The mansion is very beautiful on the outside. We were a little overwhelmed by the decor on... More

My Wife and I stayed one night in the Wellington and it was far too short a stay. The building is beautiful, the decor is amazing, the innkeepers are the best, and breakfast... oh, the breakfast! Our room was decorated for Christmas and was as cozy as any room in which I've stayed; the bed was comfy, the fireplace was... More

Step back in time to this turn of the century masterpiece. Each room has been lovingly restored to its original grander. My large room had the original master bath which still has the oversized soaking tube and pedestal sink. The cozy fireplace warmed the large room on a snowy early winter night. I slept well in the custom made made.... More

Last week we broke our tradition of staying at Chateau Chantal while up in Traverse City, Michigan. Something very old became something "New" for us and was incredible! The Wellington Inn is the most beautifully restored inn that we have ever seem! This former mansion had been divided into several separate units. However, Barb and Hank had the exquisite vision,... The Innkeepers, Barb & Hank, took good care of us! They were knowledgeable about the area as well as the beautiful home we stayed in. We were looking for a different experience - other than just staying at a hotel, and this fit the bill. It was fun to imagine how the Hull family (original owners) would have used their... More

The old homestead was lovely and located right downtown Traverse City. Most of the original fixtures were restored and functioned well. I imagine lots of work and money went into the restoration. The inn keepers were nice, one of them would play the piano every morning until the guests arrived for breakfast. I encourage him to continue, but he said... More

Although the room rate was somewhat more than we would typically spend I must say our total experience there was well worth the price. The interaction we had with the owners, learning the history of the home and surrounding homes along with the business background of the original owners was fascinating. We also got some very good tips of places... More

The Wellington Inn was perfect. I am so glad we stumbled across it while looking at other local hotels during the busy October wine tour season. So much better! We (2 couples) stayed in the Carriage House and it was just delightful. Warm, inviting, clean with all the charm of another era. The home baked cookies were a plus, and... More

Everything at the Wellington was perfect. The house was beautiful, the hosts were excellent, the breakfasts each morning were amazing. They were able to accommodate my gluten allergy with ease. I hope to return for our anniversaries!

Great place to stay. We stayed in the Art Deco in the Carriage House Apartments.Walking distance to the downtown area, and a great neighborhood to walk and see some beautiful homes.Breakfast was great also.
