We stayed here over this past weekend. We wanted to get away for the weekend and found a great deal for grand beach resort. Very clean, and nice accommodations. We had stayed at auger beach a couple years ago and that is also a really nice hotel with great prices. Right on the bay and the rooms that are not... More

Stayed here during a short fall get-away. Very nice clerk upgraded our room to one with a nice jacuzzi, although we didn't have a bay view. Breakfast buffet was decent, nothing great. Rooms were clean and furnishings decent. We have learned that in Traverse City you pay for the location. Although we didn't use the indoor pool, it looked nice.... More

No complaints , good place , clean , quiet , good beds hot showers .breakfast of course was lacking like about every hotel I have stayed in. Main course was waffles. I just really love when there is eggs, meat. But everything tastes good empty food was promptly refilled so all in all I'd give my stay a 95%

Stayed here in the past as well . Nice place with a good size pool area. Rooms are clean and well kept . We found the staff to be help full and very courteous. We felt it was a good value overall and will return.

We stayed here for 3 nights. It was surprisingly quiet considering it was New Year's Eve. Cons: Clerk was unfriendly when we checked in, although all others were later friendly. Side door to our hallway was unlocked until 11:00 at night - would have felt safer with it always locked. Found too many hairs in the room. Spa tub in... More

The location is about 3 miles from downtown so it makes it convenient to hop a cab so you can enjoy dinner without stress. The rooms are typical hotel rooms but they do have a DVD player as well as the tv. The pool is nice with a large hot tub. The only odd thing is that to get to... More

I'm sorry to hear about the pillows. We have a variety of pillow options available, so if that happens again please let the front... More

Room was clean and average. Nice staff. Ladder into hot tub unsafe with cylindrical rungs against the wall of the tub. Rungs far apart and have to hold on with toes. I slipped against the side and was bruised badly with a sprained toe. Very hard to get out. Please consider replacing before there is a serious accident. Not many... More

Thank you, Jean, for providing us with your feedback regarding your stay with us over the summer. I'm sorry to hear about your injury in the pool. We are actually having work done on the pools at both the Grand Beach and Sugar Beach this winter, so this should be addressed very soon. Beach umbrellas are taken down each evening... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 days recently to enjoy the fall colors, great places to eat and drink and the entire vibe of the area. We always stay at the Grand Beach and really enjoy the beachfront rooms! We did notice that the bathroom in our room is in need of a paint touch up. Looking a... More

We just came home yesterday from another wonderful weekend stay at the Grand Beach for my husband's Ice Man mt bike race (always the first weekend in Nov). We got online to book for the same race weekend next year only to discover that the prices are $100 more/night (the weekend before and after are back to normal $89/night rates).... More

Thank you so much, Laura, for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. We sincerely appreciate your years of patronage at the Grand Beach Resort. It is true that the rates the weekend of the Iceman race are considerably higher than the other November weekends. The Iceman race brings many... More

The hotel was very happy to accommodate my wife's needs and the room was large enough, even though it had 2 queen size beds, for my wife to move around. One bed had an open frame that allowed my wife to use her lift to transfer to the bed, and the bathroom was also roomy enough to allow fairly easy... More
