First off, this place looks fantastic from the minute you pull up. It's a huge, log building and you instantly feel transported to another place. The lobby was nicely decorated and clean. There are nice photo spots and big over sized chairs to sit by the fire or play a game of checkers. One con here, maybe too much stuff... more

We went with two eleven year old girls. They were quickly bored with the waterpark facilities. We stayed at the Kalahari in the Dells a few years ago and were expecting much more. The newly opened outdoor park is simply a swimming pool and a toddler area. While for us it was disappointing if the kids had been younger (4-8)... more

The room is what sold us on staying at Great Wolf Lodge. We stayed in the Wolf Den Suite. Our 5 year old loved having her own little area to sleep in. The waterpark area was very clean and a lot of fun. We didn't spend all of our time at the hotel, we did some other sight seeing. It's... more

I'm a 48 yr. old mom who just spent three days with three teenagers having a blast at GWL in Traverse City. I would never have guessed how much fun I had playing MagiQuest. We played first thing in the morning, walking around with my cup of Starbucks and later in the evening with a glass of local wine. Having... more

Great Wolf Lodge, Traverse City was very busy during the weekend in March when we visited, but we were able to do all that we wanted at this water park without much wait time. There was a mix-up at check in when another family was unpacking in the room we were assigned. When we called the front desk, the quickly... more

GWL - Kansas City KANSAS This was the worst hotel we EVER stayed at!!!!!! Room/suites extremely SMALL and EXPENSIVE, and not comfortable for sleeping at all. Sleeper sofa was miserable for sitting much less sleeping. Kids bunk beds didn't even have mattresses. They had very thin fake leather like couch cushions. Pretty bad when young kids complain of discomfort. They... more

Overall stay/ location for (hotel+indoor waterpark) combo was "ok". However at ~$400/ night during spring break - I do Not reccommend. The place had been at fully capacity for over 2 full weeks when we arrived so the limited staff seemed exhausted. The lines were very long - to check in, at each good ride, at the bar, to play... more

Had a great night at this hotel. Very expensive but was able to go due to a promotional rate through my husband's employer. Arrived before check in and they had a room available, also honored a request for a particular floor. The room/hotel/waterpark seemed clean. Traveled with kids age 5, 2 1/2, and 1. All three kids had fun and... more
