I stayed at this motel in July and was very disappointed. I took a wet paper towel and ran it across the baseboard in the bathroom and was very disgusted at the amount of dirt that was there. Since this was plainly visible, I wonder what was filthy that wasn't visible. I even found a bobby pin behind the table... More

At press time, Boarders is 28th out of 38 in TC which seems low. I didn't experience any cigarette or pot smoke, or Hooters noise. And I can't comment on breakfast since I prefer outside breakfasts. The room was clean and the service was efficient. As a caffeine addict, I appreciate the brief walk to Crow About It. And as... More

This was definitely not a four star hotel...BUT the price was right and the sleeping was comfortable. Hotel lobby was drab and check-in desk was messy. Office door mailbox was crammed to overflowing with paperwork. Clerk looked unprofessional and did not even stand up with multiple customers in line. Breakfast was nice, but if you were not there by 9am... More

It is located in a very convenient location. Obviously everywhere is quite pricy in Traverse city, so this is one of the affordable options for us when we booked the hotels in the last minute. The breakfast is not quite we expected, and it can definitely do better. It can use some remodeling in the interior of the places.

We were thrilled to book this hotel at the last minute during the film festival. We were very pleased at the comfort of the bed and the room in general. I like that that have updated bedding and it was very clean and neat. I would definitely stay here again if I wasn't looking for a beach front hotel. Very... More

Had a nice stay with my older kids for one night. I wish that hotel was next to the lake as I thought the ad said so. Misleading I guess. Lousy cheap breakfast! Comfortable mattress - we did sleep thru the night.

We booked this vacation at the very ladt minute and were lucky to find this awesome place to stay. Very clean and tidy rooms. We had a room with Jacuzzi which was wonderful way to relax after hectic day of biking and sightseeing in Traverse city. It is conveniently located on the main street and lot of eating options around.... More

A nice no frills place. Very friendly staff and a comfortable room. Close to the beach and the Adventure park. I would not have a problem staying their again. Watch for traffic, It can be almost impossible making a left turn out of the parking lot

The hotel was outdated and expensive for what you get. The staff were friendly, the room was in need of a serious renovation, and the breakfast was waffles only. It's nice that they allow pets there, but there were pets being walked in and out of where you were eating in the morning.

We stayed 3 nights at the Boarders Inn and Suites in February 2014. The exterior is well maintained (as far as I could tell in winter) Interior lobby and hall areas are a little older (Remember this used to be a super 8) but the rooms were average. Newer bedding and flat screen TV's. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable.... More
