My husband and I stayed here for winter weekend getaway after finding listing online and we were not disappointed! We stayed in cozy cabin #4 so we could enjoy the hot tub which we did both nights! This is definately rustic and casual but so peaceful and relaxing and perfect for what we were looking for. The cabin had all... More

You are the reason we keep the a few Cabins open in the Winter.. To give the bold and daring a chance to brave the winter conditions to come to a place that feels far, far away.. in the woods, at the end of the road and off the highway.. but with easy access to town.. if you want !... More

We were one of many people who stayed at resort for a family weekend. Description of cabin some what misleading. Essentially a one room cabin with 3/4 wall partition between the two beds. Remaining "wall" was a curtain drawn across the foot of the bed. The third bed was in the remaining space that served as living room, dining room,... More

Yes, We are a "Rustic" Log Cabin Resort - and in Michigan - that means a Log Cabin, in the Woods, on the Lake - just like Grammas ! Rustic does not mean that it's not Comfy and Clean and in a perfect.. Quiet and Private Secluded location. Comfy Beds and linens, an equipped kitchen.. even Hot and Cold running... More

If you're looking for relaxed, casual lodging accompanied by a touch of rustic than Harold's Resort is the place. My wife & I recently spent 4th of July week at Harold's Resort and found little not to like. Situated on the shores of Spider Lake Harold's resort consists of several rustic log cottages. Ours was neat and clean and though... More

This is the place you should come to "unplug" - off the highway, in the woods, surrounded by Spider Lake on 3 sides - at the end of the road - and they were at the end of the driveway on the point of our private peninsula with a view of the lake from every window. Our Log Cabins are... More

Our vacation/anniversary was absolutely perfect thanks to Harold's Resort! We stayed in Cabin #6, the 'Love Shack'. Small, cozy, affordable, and clean (though a little outdated, which actually adds to its charm). Just a heads up -- No microwave, no TV. The owners, specifically Kathy, were super friendly, communicative, and accommodating. It was a wonderful surprise to discover a row... More

This is the Cutest LITTLE Cabin this side of the Mississippi River ! It's Cute.. It's Adorable .. it's LITTLE, but if you have ever been on a Cruise.. you will think THIS CABIN is HUGE.. it's all relative.. and you get a little kitchen too ! AND in Summer - Your own Row Boat, Charcoal Grill and Picnic Table.... More

Our group of 9 had an awesome weekend at the house! There was plenty of room and the property was gorgeous! Kathy and Rolf were amazingly accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed to have a great weekend. Highly Recommend!

Thank you for taking such nice are of the house. I think when you have a group like yours, even if you are just coming for the "weekend", it makes much more sense to get a "whole house" instead of just hotel rooms. We have been in the business for 25 years here on Spider Lake and are happy to... More

I first visited Harold's Resort 10 years ago when a group of girls and I would come up for girls' scrapbooking weekends. It was then I learned how gracious a host are Kathy and Rolf. Some things never change- Kathy is still very hospitable and the cabins are still as quaint and cozy as ever! This visit was an anniversary... More

WOW how time flies... Hard to believe you have been coming here for 10 years. Winter time is special - and this is one reason - our biggest reason in fact that we brave the cold and snow to stay open all year.... - to provide couples with a place to come to spend some "Quality Time" together - without... We had a great weekend exploring the different bars and restaurants traverse city has to offer, our cabin was nice and cozy, especially considering the record cold temps of valentines weekend 2015. Nights spent soaking on the porch in the nice clean hot tub, while snow was falling outside.

We Spent 4 days and 3 nights in Beautiful Traverse City, and had the pleasure of Staying in Cabin 5 at Harold's Resort. Record cold temps we're hit on this weekend, yet it did not stop us from enjoying a romantic weekend away. I would highly recommend Harold's to anyone!!! We will definitely be back!

This is the whole reason that we stay open in the Winter - it's not easy to keep Log Cabins going, most people would shut them up and go south for the Winter - BUT.. not us ! We brave the cold and snow here is Traverse City to let others experience the Magic of their own Little Log Cabin,... More

We stayed at Harold's resort, during the last part of December, 2014. We were very happy with the cabin and the resort in general.
