We stayed with Melinda and David at the Aberdeen Stone Cottage in May, and it could not have been more wonderful! Their hospitality is gracious, the Thistle room was comfortable and quiet, the newly remodeled private bath was spa-like and relaxing (I love the rain head in the beautifully tiled shower), and the location within walking distance to the lake... When we visit Traverse City, we check with Aberdeen Stone Cottage for available rooms. We have gotten to know hosts David & Melinda, and feel like we're staying with friends when we stay at their B&B. Always clean, always pleasant and comfortable, always outstanding breakfasts.

Our stay, though only for 1 night, was a highlight of our trip to Traverse City. David and Melinda have the right amount of friendliness and help without being intrusive. The flowers around the cottage were just blooming - so pretty. The room was quite comfortable - from the linens to the drinks/snacks set up in the room, to the... More

This is a very quaint B & B in a lovely residential area close to the main street in Traverse City and other area attractions. We stayed in the Celtic room and it was very comfortable. The room is a little on the small side but the living area is open to guests and we enjoyed being able to sit... More

This quaint B & B is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, a few blocks away from Front Street, the main street in Traverse City. You can walk pretty much anywhere in the city from this location! We stayed in an upstairs room and shared a bathroom with another guestroom, but it was no big deal. The room was nice... More

We spent two weekends at Aberdeen Stone Cottage this summer and had a fantastic stay both times! David and Melinda are excellent hosts, and the breakfasts were amazing. The cottage is located on a quiet street near downtown and the beach, and is very clean and welcoming. We highly recommend this B&B!

We stayed in the Celtic Room and it was so lovely. We had a private patio where breakfast was brought to us each morning. David and Melinda were very friendly (and cool), and they really made our stay special. They think of everything -- down to little details such as in-room drinks and snacks, a mini fridge, shampoo and conditioner... More

This was my first time to stay at a B&B. I chose this place solely on the strength of the Trip Advisor ratings and it did not disappoint. The house is located on a quiet residential street within easy walking distance from Traverse City's main attractions. I wasn't expecting more than corn flakes for breakfast, but was treated to fresh-baked... More

We were attending a wedding event over the Memorial weekend holiday. Prices for a Saturday night stay at local hotels were outrageously expensive. The Aberdeen Stone Cottage was reasonably priced. Our room was clean and quaint. We shared a bathroom with the other guests upstairs and this worked out without problem. Melinda and David were such wonderful hosts and made... More

We occupied all 3 rooms together with ours daughters and friend. It was absolutely a perfect stay. Such gracious and kind hosts. The house is so peaceful and welcoming. It was as close to being at home as we have experienced on our many B&B stays. The living room and den front room was just perfect for the five of... More
