Traveled as a couple in November 2015. 1. The cottage: adorable! 2. The owners/managers: Melinda and David are knowledgeable and charming. They gave us great suggestions for eating and drinking. 3. The food: breakfast was amazing - one of the best we've ever had! They also set us up with snacks in our room. 4. The room: we had the... More

We stayed in the Celtic Garden room and it was great! You could smell how clean the sheets and towels were. Comfy bed and great snacks left out. Melinda and David were so helpful with where to go and what to see. Awesome breakfast in the morning and had fun getting to know the other guests over coffee. Really great... More

A cozy, quaint home reminiscent of Scotland, in the heart of the residential area of the city. An easy long walk to downtown and one Traverse Bay beach. My daughter and I stayed in the Heather room as that is her name. Scottish themed room with an adorable attic hideaway room which could accomodate a child. Innkeepers, Melissa and David,... More

We had a lovely time. Melinda and David are the best innkeepers evah! :) Seriously it was so relaxing and comfortable. As close to home but with the luxuries of wonderful home cooked breakfast's and a beautiful location. We can't recommend it enough. You really feel like you are staying with friends... friends that bake apples for you in the... More

This adorable cottage was the perfect place to stay for our wine tour weekend. It is close to breweries in town and wineries in the beautiful Old Mission peninsula. We stayed in the Heather room, which had a comfy, king-sized bed and the cutest little nook that we had fun hanging out in! We also had our own bathroom, which... More

I cannot put into words how much we enjoyed our stay here! We visited sept. 8-11. The breakfast was to die for every morning and the dishes were beautiful! Melinda and David are beautiful people always giving us a great conversation. We even had an anniversary surprise when we returned from sightseeing! Such a wonderful, fun stay, meeting new friends... We found Aberdeen by chance, looking for a few days in Traverse City. It was wonderful, even speaking as someone who enjoys 4 and 5 star hotels at times. David and Melinda were friendly and very accomodating, i.e. early check in. There are only 3 rooms for rent, so it is small. We enjoyed this. The room we had was... More

My husband and I stayed at the Aberdeen Stone Cottage B&B when we visited Traverse City for the Cherry Festival. The B&B is located on a quiet residential street and is close to restaurants, downtown and the festival (it's just a short walk). It's a small B&B, only three rooms. It is lovely and very cozy. We stayed in the... More

We stayed with Melinda and David at the Aberdeen Stone Cottage in May, and it could not have been more wonderful! Their hospitality is gracious, the Thistle room was comfortable and quiet, the newly remodeled private bath was spa-like and relaxing (I love the rain head in the beautifully tiled shower), and the location within walking distance to the lake... When we visit Traverse City, we check with Aberdeen Stone Cottage for available rooms. We have gotten to know hosts David & Melinda, and feel like we're staying with friends when we stay at their B&B. Always clean, always pleasant and comfortable, always outstanding breakfasts.
