My husband and I have stayed here twice and have our third visit scheduled for next fall. Chateau Chantal is absolutely stunning. As far as I know it's one of the only Inns on the peninsula and it can be hard to get in. But you should definitely do it, it's worth the wait! The rooms are big, beautiful, cozy,... More

LOVED the signs to read as you drive up the winding hill to park. Glorious views and great wine. We went on a Saturday and it was extremely busy - took a while to get our tastings. BUT 6 tastings for $3 was hardly a reason to complain. Server was nice but seemed overwhelmed. Will go back - the Gewurtztraminer... More

Chateau Chantal is a fabulous place to stay and a wonderful location on the Mission Peninsula near Traverse City. We stayed in the Renoir suite and the view and accommodations were magnificent. As a guest we were able to go in to the tasting room after hours and sample the wines they offered. We also enjoyed the wine dinner. The... More

We reserved our suite 18 months ago. It was worth the wait. What a beautiful place! We stayed in the Monet Suite, which has a lovely balcony with a view of the east bay. The sitting room is large and comfortable. The separate bedroom is also very nice and the king bed magnificently comfortable. The bathroom features a large two... More

We enjoyed the tour and dinner with wine pairing. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that is looking for a unique dining experience in Traverse City. The view from the chateau was beautiful and it would be even better during the fall when the leaves are changing.

We took a mini getaway to Traverse City and were recommended this winery by our hotel receptionist. She sure pointed us in the right direction because we absolutely enjoyed this place. The views were amazing! We sampled several wines and our server Andrew was extremely knowledgable and did a fantastic job helping us with our selections. He truly made our... More

We spent only 1 night at Chateau Chantal and wished we could have stayed more! Rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. View off balcony was beautiful. We were able to taste-test the wines that were left from the day of tasters FREE. The morning breakfast was delicious, the staff friendly and the wine tour was very interesting. My husband,... More

If you are in Traverse city then you would want to have this on your list. This place has one of the best views in all the vineyards I have been to so far. It overlooks the water on two sides and sits on the top of a green expanse rimming the lake. They have a tasting room where you... More

Chateau Chantal sits atop the "spine" of the Old Mission Peninsula and the views of the lake and surrounding hills, alone, are worth a visit. The chateau is also a winery offering daily tastings in its well appointed tasting room, and regular wine dinners, which we attended on a recent one- night stay. First the accommodations. Rooms are clean and... More

Greetings!... And thanks for your frankness. We are sorry we missed your expectations. We do emphasize on the education component of our wine pairing dinners. In general, most people enjoy the discussion, however, we do understand that it is not for everyone and can appreciate that. We take all of our feedback very seriously. We will use your points to... It's first time winery stay was very nice. Very nice rooms, good service and very good breakfast. Had some good wine and met a lot of nice couples. We toured other vineyards and was a very good location to do that. The owner help with breakfast and was fun to talk with.
