The paved entry road winds its way uphill through vineyards; the first view of the chateau on the top of the hill is exciting and soothing at the same time; the registration staff are efficient but personable in leading guests through the building on a mini-tour to their assigned room, one of eight rooms or suites available. This first fifteen... more

This remarkable chateau sits perfectly on the Old Mission Peninsula, a few miles north of Traverse City, MI. My husband and I loved the views, the wine, the staff and owners. There was a familiarity about the place, even though it was our first visit. October seemed to be a great time to go because they were harvesting and processing... more

My wife and I stayed three nights at Chateau Chantal while in the area primarily to visit several of the wineries in the area. We were very happy with our stay at the bed & breakfast, the owners were gracious and accomodating and the overall feeling of being welcome like 'at home' was great. After hours access to the tasting... more

Everyone should visit ..as a day guest. The view is incredible!..Te hotel part is not up to par. Let me eplain why>>We stayed over labor day and dicsovered the elevator was out of service! This is a big deal since at least half of their rooms are on another level. Many of the guests were senior citizens. Generally the hotel... more

I have stayed at Chateau Chantal in Sept 2007 and 2008 - am on my way up there again this week for a 3 day stay. There is NO other place in the area that offers such expansive, beautiful views. The Chateau sits on top of the ridge that runs down Old Mission Peninsula, affording views of both East/West Bay.... more

We have stayed at Chateau Chantal a few times in the past, and have also attended the Wine Immersion Weekend. It has ALWAYS been a perfect get away. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts are wonderful. The ambiance is unsurpassed in Michigan. more

I went in winter time, as a guest of a guest. This is such a nice place to stay, whether in teh middle of winter (like I did) or when the trees are in full bloom in spring, or any time for that matter. The rooms are modest, not excessive or cheap, but comfortable, and themed. The wines made here... more

Chateau Chantal happens to be my wifes favorite winery in Traverse City Michigan. So I decdided to surprise her with a stay at the B and B. Not only was she surprised, but so was I. What a beautfiul location, freindly staff, great breakfasts, wonderful tour, and just an all around amazing place to celebrate 14 years of marriage. The... more

We stayed at Chateau Chantal for three nights June 14-17. It was our first little getaway since our son was born, and we wanted a place that was both romantic and relaxing. We chose Chateau Chantal because of its close proximity to my mother's house in Ohio. I would not have looked in this area otherwise, but now I am... more
