My husband and I visited the Traverse City area for the first time, and decided to drive up the Mission Peninsula; we found the Chateau both through travel info from the local visitor's bureau, AAA, and the web. We were thoroughly impressed. The peninsula is pretty much untouched commercially, and the winery/Chateau is a first class operation. From check-in to... more

This Bed and Breakfast is located on a high hill on the peninsula over looking the vineyards. It was quiet and peaceful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were impressed with our suite and morning breakfast was homemade and wonderful. Our favorite part was setting on the back deck having a glass of wine and watching the... more

We were amazed! We came here for our second anniversary - and have decided that this is the only place we want to stay in the future. The staff and facilities were way above our expectations! We were shocked by the gorgeous views, the warm comfortable feeling, the wine, the rooms...everything! We cannot say enough wonderful things about this place.... more

My husband and I decided to stay at Chateau Chantal for our first anniversary. We were engaged on Old Mission Peninsula and then got married in Traverse City the year after, so we love the area. This was our first Bed and Breakfast experience, and we were a little hesitant. We had been to the tasting room at the Chateau... more

Our stay at the Chateau Chantal was part of our fourth wedding anniverary "celebration" and it was nearly perfect. We stayed in the Merlot suite. Our only criticisms were with the view (slighly marred by the parking lot and dumpsters immediately below the window) and the lack of a small refrigerator in the room. Since the Chateau is in the... more

This is the second time we've stayed at Chateau Chantal, and we love it. The staff is nice and very accomodating. The after-hours tasting is great. The scenery is second-to-none. I would definitely recommend staying in the new wing as opposed to the older 3 rooms. The older rooms are definitely nice - but the lack balconies and jacuzzi tubs.... more

This place is a must stop. We stayed in the French Room-- no real view (a small patio) but a huge whirlpool tub with terry robes and wine in the room to enjoy after using it. Guests can sample the wine and hang-out after hours in the tasting room and sit out on the public patio. The breakfast is incredible--... more

My DH and I stayed at Chateau Chantal for 2 nights in July, 2006. Our room was absolutely huge. We had a living room, gigantic bedroom and bath with jacuzzi. Each day guests can have one tasting but the great thing is you can do it after the tasting room closes. What fun! We had a ball tasting their wines... more

Just got back from a 2-day getaway and you can mark my husband and I down as two more Chateau Chantal fans. It was our first time on Old Mission Peninsula and we were very impressed. We stayed in Room 4, Lebasque, which has views of both East and West Bays as well as the surrounding hillside. It was absolutely... more

Chateau Chantal was exactly what we busy parents of three needed to relax. The grounds and the inn are spectacular. We stayed in the Van Gogh suite which had a fantastic bed and tub as well as great views. The breakfasts were great and the staff extremely helpful and professional. The restaurants suggested were just right. We left reluctantly! more
