If you are going for just a view of water, this is OK. Otherwise, forget it. This is a true story! We planned on visiting, and staying with my sister-in-law in Sutton's Bay. At the very last minute she decided her house wasn't finished enough to stay there as they're doing remodeling. She tried to get us a room at... More

Don't stay here! Owner is crazy. We tried to cancel our half day wine tour and she started yelling at my wife. There isn't a cancellation policy in place, so we will just have American Express deal with that. She said we tried to cancel that day, which is a lie because we tried to cancel the previous morning. Never... More

We have stayed here twice, despite it not exactly being the perfect place solely because of the view, beach and location near other attractions. Also, we tend to make travel plans last minute, and this place always has availability. We also like that there is hardly anyone ever at the restaurant, so it is almost like you have the entire... For $185 a night (with a minimum of a three-night stay) we did not expect to have a room with wet carpet (from recent rain), a rotten sliding door, grimy, outdated decor and an owner who confused us with two other couples who were also complaining about the quality of their rooms! She told us we could go somewhere else... More

There are a lot of mom and pop places to stay around Sutton's Bay, and most are not friendly to folks doing their research into lodging online. The Vineyard did not permit an online reservation, but we were able to learn about the different rooms and check availability. We were pleased when we arrived to find the room could easily... More

The best thing going here is the location, a gently sloping lawn with nice comfortable chairs spaced at intervals takes you down to a beach area with a long dock that has benches at the end. There are kayak rentals in the area that deliver no extra fee to this spot, and the morning kayak experience on the bay was... More

We stayed here for our anniversary just this last wkend. Great little place. Great view of the bay! We had a bonfire on the water too. We also had dinner there and the new chef was fantastic! We were the only ones in the restaurant part for dinner at the time so it was like we had a personal chef!... More

We have stayed here several times. I must say the last time was very disappointing. The location is great and you are right on the water (bay side) so if the weather is warm you can swim, dock your boat and probably bring a kayak. Many in the area enjoying biking riding along M-22 going up the lighthouse etc. The... More

Website said separate bedroom. Nope. Website said flat screen tv, some with DVD. Nope, old style tv/VHS combo. Website said coffee available at 7:30 am. Nobody arrives until 10am. Kitchenette? No stovetop, but maybe kitchenette is a mini fridge, coffee maker and sink. Disorganized. They confirmed our arrival on email, but called us the day of our arrival and asked... More
