I spend a lot of time traveling for work and have stayed at many hotels. This Embassy Suites has become a favorite. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a smile and a quick friendly check-in at the frontdesk, from an employee by the name of Denice, who directed me to my room which was... more

WOW!!!! This place is AWESOME for the value. Rooms are spacious, and very "homey", the only complaint we had was a cold breakfast. Wonderful bed 2 CONS- we found out traveling during or about time for Spring Break isn't the best idea. The room service stops @ 10pm (BOO!) We had a 9th floor corner suite ( you can request... more

The hotel failed to deliver at the level I have come to expect from an Embassy Suites. The breakfast was so poorly organized that slow, long lines were the norm. There was one line for both cooked to order and hot food, and on at least one occasion I was insulted for reaching through the line to get some bacon.... more

We ended up at the Southfield Embassy Suites after finding a deal on Priceline. We checked in with our children for a short visit to the Detroit area. Our room was very clean, and there was plenty of room for all of us, with a king bed in the bedroom and fold-out couch. Our children had their own TV in... more

I stayed here one night in December with my girlfriend. From the pleasant experience on check in to the cocktail reception to the superbly comfortable beds and nicely appointed bathroom to the amazing cooked-to-order breakfast, this place is first-rate, particularly at the $65 per night rate they offered. The rooms furnishings look as though they have been replaced as the... more

I was very surprised with this hotel. I first visited Detroit back in October 2008. After reading the reviews, I has my reservations about wanting to give my business to this hotel. Boy, was I surprised! I throughly enjoyed my stay at the Embassy Suites-Southfield. I must agree with everyone else, the rooms could use a face lift by becoming... more

This is the second time I have stayed here on business. The first time the decor was old and shabby but the staff so nice that I tried them again. This time I had a flying cockroach in my room, and when they moved me to a second room, I got a huge bite on my leg while I slept!... more

The Embassy Suites Detroit Southfield is a good hotel for many types of stays in the Detroit Area. The location is quite convenient, very close to Interstate 696. Parking is ample, but the hotel can be hard to spot if you don't know what you are looking for. What you are looking for is a mid-rise office-like building pretty much... more

During my stay at the Embassy, I was greated as soon as I walked in the door. It had a great atmosphere. Nice, clean hotel. I prefer to stay at the Embassy Suites Hotels because it offers FREE breakfast and in the evening FREE cocktails! I have been a Hilton Honers member for over five years now, and have been... more

Unlike other reviewers, I loved this hotel. It has two-room suites, great location and most importantly wonderful and helpful employees. For a very decent price, the hotel offers a superlative breakfast with a made-to-order omellete plus hash browns, two kinds of sausages, biscuits and scrambled eggs plus the regular continental breakfast offerings. When I was there, they even had a... more
