I was hesitating to check in as the Hotel is under complete remodeling. I could see that something special was going to be coming out of this "Star in progress". They have three all new restaurants, a convention center, and a all new luxury look. I cannot wait to see the finished product. more

This was one of worst hotels that I have been to. I contacted housekeeping/front desk 3 times for a couple of extra pillow and it took over 6 hours and 3 phone calls to get one. The shower had mold growing in it and there was used soap and shampoo in the shower. The hallway carpeting looked worse than what... more

I stayed here for the Basset Hound Dog Show...From the moment I checked in I was very impressed with the service and the overall cleanliness of the hotel. The service was exceptional and I really enjoyed all of the amenities that the hotel had to offer. When you travel to Michigan, this is where you'll want to stay, Trust me!! more

This was my best stay at this hotel for this year and thank goodness they got rid of the Holiday Inn franchise because the new managment now is literally over hauling everything and bringing much needed style and it will be beautiful when it is done! I cannot wait too see the new and improved version in six months Thank... more

We stayed at this hotel with our sons high school lacrosse team. Almost every player and parent had a problem with their room.(smelly, dirty, damp rooms various odd items left behind by previous travellers..) The hotel is in desperate need of an overhaul(and cleaning) and HAS NOT been renovated as is stated on their website. The only thing that redeemed... more

This is a former Holiday Inn property that has lost it's franchise yet try to fool you by choosing the Holiday "Resort" name for their property. Trust me, this place is no resort. The lobby area is quite nice and inviting, much as it was during this properties Holiday Inn days. The lobby is where the modern, clean feel ends.... more

Our stay at the hotel started out when we were treated terribly by the check-in manager on duty. His snooty attitude was much more suited for a $400/night Manhattan hotel than the Holiday Resort. Initially we were willing to let several things go (e.g. we had requested 3 rooms together, they were not, the housekeeper actually asked us to leave... more

I spent the night at this hotel and attended a conference the following day. Here are the facts regarding my stay: The lobby was warm, pleasant and inviting,it looked very nice. My room had an over powering chemical/cleaning agent smell to it, and was not clean. In addition, it was extremely outdated. The room next to me had a loud... more

Me and husband stayed at this hotel the weekend of November 21-26 visiting my family for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful experience. My check in was with very quick and even though the room needs to be remodled it was extremely clean with a excellent view of the city. The first night of our stay we had dinner in the... more
