Ana and her hotel were great. She was a great host. The hotel reminded us of a quaint Victorian B & B. The European breakfast was similar to those in some of the B & B' we stayed at in Ireland. Fruit, pastries and coffee. There may have been more but we took off early. I would recommend staying here... More

The hotel is an awesome place! I have been in almost every room, there is such a cozy feel to each and every room with its own spunk of personality. This place is right in the heart of South Haven, great dining all around and beautiful views, with Lake Michigan with in your vision. If you get the chance...... do... More

He gave us directions when needed, recommend a wonderful Mexican restaurant and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay the most comfortable. The hotel itself was quaint and historical. Each room seemed to have a theme. Very cute! The antique furniture, pictures, and decor really... More

We have stayed at Hotel Nichols a couple of times and will definitely be returning! We came with a group of 6 the first time and a group of 8 the next time. All 8 of us loved the hotel. Can't wait to visit again!

My fiancee and I were looking for a night away and were happy to stumble upon Hotel Nichols. After reaching out to several Bed and Breakfast locations listed for South Haven, we contacted Hotel Nichols and found that they did not have the standard 2 night stay requirement! I booked a one night stay online and received a confirmation within... More

A group of women from southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana have made an annual visit to Hotel Nichols on our Kal-Haven Bicycle Ride. We have found this lovely hotel to be the perfect overnight location. Over fifteen years, the ownership has changed and has been run by a wonderful woman and her daughter for approximately the past twelve or thirteen.... More

Staff is rude and lazy and they have no customer service at all. They have no heat in the rooms and you have no thermostat to adjust so your stuck with whatever heat they may give you. Rooms have no closet so if you have hang up clothes they will lay on the chair. Breakfast is a joke with old... More

We were traveling up the west coast of Michigan and was going to stay over but had no plan yet. While visiting South Haven we came across this 142 year old hotel. We have been trying to stay in these century old hotels over the past few years. As a walk in the manager knocked the price down to $100... More
