The Asylum Inn is a great place to stay if you love an old house with a lot of rustic charm. It feels like you are renting a bed and breakfast. It is right next to the downtown area and a short walk to the beach. The place has tons of character. They have a grill and tables in the... More

We stayed here for a weekend as a large group and rented the whole house. The kitchens are fully-equipped (apart from dishwasher) and they even supplied coffee grounds and sugar (nice touch)! The interior is decorated with a retro and quirky flair. The house itself is excellently located close to restaurants, bars and the center of South Haven. Parking can... More

Am writing this review before I check out of the Asylum Inn. I had the most wonderful three night stay - just what I needed. The place was exactly described on the website. The bed was super comfortable and as others have noted the linens were great! I stayed in the third floor penthouse - it's a little dark but... More

Stayed only one night this time, but have stayed previously multiple times multiple nights. You will not find a better location if wanting to park your car and enjoy walking to beach, restaurants, marina, and downtown. Tina and her husband have done an excellent job restoring this historic place. She has decorated beautifully throughout, only chosen the best linens/sheets, and... More

Everything about the Asylum Inn met my expectations. We rented the entire building and filled it with friends and family. The owner was friendly and helpful. Everything was prepared when we arrived. It is very clean. The beds are very comfortable, with good quality sheets and quilts. The kitchens are well enough equipt. The area in back was a great... More

Each time we visit we stay with a group of friends and occupy all three floors, each group has their own floor. That works out perfectly as each floor is self sufficient and always is stocked with anything you might need. The location is perfect with shops and restaurants only a short walk away and the beach just several blocks... More

This was our third time staying at the Asylum, each time renting all three floors. Brothers and sisters, good friends, spouses and kids. You could get a large group together on one floor, kids on their own floor, or you could get away to your bedroom and quiety read. The three different themed units were self-sufficient and very nice. You... More

Great atmosphere, and we've always had a good experience at The Asylum. It's a favorite of our group of friends. It's a great place to gather and bond, and the amenities are just perfect. Close to the beach and downtown Saugatuck.

We have stayed at the Asylum Inn on 3 separate occasions. Our friends rent the whole place for the weekend and we love it. Everything is always well stocked and clean. It's an interesting place and a wonderful getaway for a large group.
