The beds in this hotel were everything we have come to expect in a Hampton Inn. The rooms were very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. The problem was that the floors are very noisy. You can hear people walking, both in your own room and the room above you, even when they are on the carpet. We found... more

Stayed there for 3 nights recently and had 2 other rooms for 2 nights for family. The hotel is quite nice, and especially the staff were very helpful and nice. The rooms are decent size, with a mini fridge and microwave. The pool is large but seemed a bit over-chlorinated. Included breakfast was good. The front desk was staffed by... more

The Hampton at Sault Ste. Marie offers a nice place to stay at a reasonable rate. The public areas and rooms were fresh and clean. The lobby has a strong chlorine smell from the adjacent pool area. The pool and whirlpool were large and clean. Breakfast was a typical Hampton meal with a couple of hot items plus Danish, bagels,... more

The hotel is currenly undergoing renovations. It doesn't appear to have been too run down in the first place, but the renovations are nice. The room was comfortable, personnel were courteous and friendly. We would stay again - but I do have a few comments that might be helpful for others. Security - they were in the process of updating... more

We stayed here in the middle of may after stopping in and just getting a room. The room was very nice however the bed was not comfortable at all and I woke up with a knot in my back. I went down to go swimming in the pool and the pool was way to cold to swim in however the... more

I wish i would have read the reviews on this site prior to making 22 reservation in Nov.2007,After booking rooms 2 month in advance for an entire hockey team-after a 8 hour drive in a blizzard-we found that not only were a lot of our rooms cancelled but the rate was changed--after talking to atleast 3 other teams at the... more

Huge problem --- booked a double non-smoking... drove 12 hours to find out we had a king smoking and then told us that was what our reservation was for. That's a significant problem for a reputable hotel chain to give away your room if you arrive at 10:30 pm. We were steamed... they gave us the room for half price. more

We stayed at this and one other Hampton Inn on a 12 day trip - they clearly have the best beds in the world right now. This hotel, while not next to the locks, is only a short ride away. The indoor pool is beautiful and overlooks woods - its very well done. You'll find the refrigerator and microwave convenient.... more

Good value, large and comfortable room, good wireless internet connection, friendly and helpful staff. The free breakfast is the standard Hampton breakfast--only disappointment is that the breakfast was not as hot as we would have liked. We would definitely return! more
