The waterfront is as close as you could say to being "downtown" in Sault Ste Marie, MI. There's plenty of pubs that also serve food and some shops around as well. The hotel restaurant is pricey for dinner but pretty competitive for lunch. Their club sandwich is highly recommended. The hotel is a mixed bag. It is in an older... more

This hotel is overpriced for what it delivers. Don't let the elegant lobby fool you into thinking the rest of the hotel is nice. It was average, at best. The pool, while indoors, is in the basement and not at all inviting. The ceilings in the hallways are low and actually drooping in some places. There was peeling wallpaper in... more

This is a old building but in great shape. We went on a walking tour nearby and the highlight of the tour were the stories of the old days at what is now the Ramada Inn. Some ghost stories too that happen on the fourth floor!. The price was a little higher than what I saw on line but within... more

Well the dinner menu is full of high priced meals that lacks any real creativity. They are over priced for quality of food. Going upstairs we found that there was trays of take out on the ground (in the hall on the way to our room) that were there for about 3 hours after we told front desk. The room... more

Clean, cozy hotel. Beds failry comfortable and location along the locks was great. Although a bit dated, everything was clean, especially our bathroom. It was very hot and the AC could have worked better. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. more

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night in early May. The hotel is situated on the main street in Sault Ste Marie and is rather out of character with the other buildings which are essentially gift shops and a couple of bars / restaurants. The main attraction though is Soo Locks and Freighters Restaurant offers an excellent view... more

Anyone who visits Sault Ste. Marie who doesn't stay at the Ojibway is missing so much. We have stayed there every time we have come to the Soo. The rooms have been redone and the Freighters Resturant is top notch regardless of when you dine there. The hotel is situated next to the Soo locks and, if you are in... more

We stayed at the Ojibway Ramada Plaza in the Soo a few weeks ago. The hotel is great, but the highlight of our stay was the wonderful food in their Freighters Restaurant. When we checked in, we inquired about places to eat and the lady on staff told us the Freighters was the best place in town. She told us... more

The OJ, as the locals call the hotel, is a great place to stay. It is located right next door to the Famous Soo Locks and within walking distance of a lot of the local shops and attractions. Rooms are very clean, the Freighters restaurant is wonderful and the Pub & Grill lots of fun. Front Desk staff very warm... more
