We rented the cottage for we wanted the double queen beds. The cottage was comfortable, cute but it gets cramped if 4 walk around :-) and definitely the bathroom is a bit cramped. Great breakfast in spite of a small place for people to sit. I felt it was ideal for a family of 3. I loved the way I... More

We enjoyed our stay here. The location is nice for walking to downtown. Because of the weather, we didn't even visit the locks, but still enjoyed the area. We like to avoid chain hotels if we can, but sometimes they are the 'safe' choice. Not here. I'd recommend this place to people who are sometimes afraid to think out of... More

We stayed in this motel for 2 nights. We had a cottage in the back. It was quiet and clean and we could park right in front of our room. The driveway to get to our cottage was a little cramped, but we made it just fine. Upon check in, we had a pleasant conversation with Amy. She was friendly,... More

We stayed in one of the cottages, because apparently the hotel rooms only have one bed (or at least the ones that were left when I called), and ended up in the main section near the office. I could still look sideways out the window and see when there was a laker in the locks. The neighborhood is fine and... More

This is a very nice budget motel in a very advantages location. It is right across the street from the Soo Locks and its visitor center. So you can wait in your room and walk across the street at the scheduled time to view a ship going through the locks. It is also located in a large concentration of restaurants... More

$90 gets you a very clean and comfortable room that is a throwback in time. This is a motel style property with good staff and a great view of the Soo Locks, if youo book early. Otherwise, you will stay in a "cottage" room out back. Most rooms are double queens, but others are double doubles. A modest breakfast is... More

There isn't a better downtown Soo location. Plenty of private parking, and right next door is a restaurant, PLUS across the street is the lock viewing complex. Pulled my bike right up to the door. The room (135) was clean, fresh smelling, but furnishings were REALLY dated. 1970's. If they overhauled it, I'd be willing to spring for $100 a... More

We had a bit of a problem finding this property as their sign had been removed for repairs. Once there the check-in went smoothly. We had reserved 2 of the cabins rather than a motel unit. The cabins were small but clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. This motel is in a great location. It is... More

The size of this hotel had us a little scared. When you arrive you feel like you are back in the past. Real keys to open the door. Just a cute little place. We walked into our rooms and smiled. Yes they are little. Yes the bathroom is small. But it was very clean and cute. We didn't think there... More

We spent one night here. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. They were "happy" that we came to stay with them. The outside appears to be recently updated - very fresh and clean. The rooms, although a little dated - smelled clean when you entered; very important to my picky daughters. The breakfast had a vast assortment - make... More
