My husband and I just returned from Wickwood Inn for the weekend. We had stayed here about 4 years ago. Things have really taken a turn for the worst. We paid $378 a night and the room had the worst bed in it. I kept rolling into the center and woke up with a back pain. The carpet had large... more

Despite the harsh criticism regarding the F&B offerings, I was pleasantly surprised. Perhaps too many guests are thinking "buffet" rather than "gourmet" when it comes to dining with the Wickwood Inn, but I appreciated the creativity, simplicity and the Provencal approach to their offerings. Gretchen, the Inn Keeper was pleasant and was with us during our entire stay. Beautiful garden,... more

My husband and I recently booked a night’s stay at the Wickwood Inn., for our first visit to Saugatuck. Based on the info found on the Inn’s website, we were very excited to arrive there. The grounds were pretty and the public areas of the home were fine (not luxurious but ok). The hostess who greeted us was friendly and... more

Don't even think twice about this bed and breakfast. If you want to be spoiled with phenomenal food and service this is THE PLACE! We enjoyed the hor dourve hour daily and couldn't wait to see what gourmet breakfast creation awaited us each morning. Perfect location.. right in the heart of town, and only 1 block to the lakefront. We... more

I wanted to write about the wonderful time I had with my husband at the Wickwood Inn. This was the first time we had visited the Inn and we are already planning on coming back again next year. From the moment we walked in the door the ambiance was so inviting we knew we made the right choice in staying... more

A standing ovation is what the Wickwood Inn is all about. From top to bottom you can feel the simple elegance in whichever room you choose to stay in at the Inn. This is one of the many reasons why I return each year. Geunine caring staff members make you feel so very, very special. My palate is always pleasantly... more

My husband (who grew up in NYC) always said I "rationalized" that growing up in Michigan was wonderful . . . UNTIL our trip to Saugatuck and our stay at the Wickwood Inn. Now even HE is in love with Michigan! I'd sorely missed my old stomping grounds and have now found a new "home" at the Wickwood Inn -... more

We just returned from the most delightful stay at a charming B & B in Saugatuck! When we checked into our room ( Accurately named "Summer in Santorini" ) we were mentally transported to the Greek Isles! What a fantastic atmosphere! The room was so cozy and cheerful! We had a most wonderful day shopping, and visiting the beautiful shoreline... more

Our weekend stay couldn't have been better -- from the warm, exquisitely decorated, antique-filled interior of the Inn, to the unbelievable food (ah, the hors dʼoeuvres!) that was always plentiful, to the incredible flower gardens that surrounded the Wickwood. The Picasso room was fantastic -- Picasso's prints hanging on the walls, books about art, selected music CDs, chocolate covered strawberries... more
