Stayed here with my husband for a weekend getaway. While the hotel is in a great location (close to downtown area), the hotel needs some TLC. Water dripped all night, mattress was uncomfortable, noisy deliveries early in the morning. Definitely not worth what we paid.

There is only a gourmet breakfast which means pound cake, grapes Cheese, beans and asparagus. The website pictures are misleading. If your beautiful room faces the post office, be prepared for 3:00 a.m.noises as a budget rental truck delivers packages to the post office loudly.

Located a block from the shopping hub on Butler and right next to a playground, the Maplewood is the best location in Saugatuck. You can walk a block to Uncommon Grounds for really good coffee and muffins in the morning and come back to the New York Times. There are 15 rooms and suites. We opted for a suite, nothing... More

This was our first and last visit to this Inn. Our standard room was very small. The room was so cold we needed blankets on a warm day. The bathroom pocket door would not stay closed. How embarrassing. The " gourmet breakfast" was small and unsatisfying. I have never seen green beans or asparagus as a breakfast food and probably... More

We have been to Saugatuck many times and I thought staying at the Maplewood Hotel would be very nice. When we checked in on 6/23/2014, there was confusion but finally the lady found our name on the register. Room 105 was extremely small and there were no tables next to the beds so there was no place to put a... More

My husband & I just returned from The Maplewood Hotel in Saugatuck. This is our 2nd time staying here. The first time was just ok, so we thought we would give it another shot (what the heck) This time was NOT GOOD! We had a standard room $185 a night on the second floor-room 214. View was nice overlooking the... More

First time to Saugatuck, the Maplewood was a perfect place to stay. Beautiful hotel with spacious private rooms and a friendly staff. Centrally located to downtown Saugatuck, never used the car once we arrived. Breakfast was delicious, freshly made and included with your stay. There was plenty of open sitting space to relax and enjoy, even a piano in the... More

Great location in Saugatuck. Friendly staff. Quirky and a step back in time. Lovely breakfast which is included. The bedrooms are all unique. We really enjoyed being able to stroll to the waterfront and to the arty shops which were minutes away. We also enjoyed being close to the restaurants and local bars (close enough to walk yet far enough... More

We felt very welcomed from the second we walked through the door. Every member of the staff treated us very well, helped with any questions, gave suggestions for places to visit and eat. We stayed in a deluxe room. Very clean. We had a 2 night stay. Breakfast was fresh fruit, fresh blueberry cupcakes and cinnamon rolls. Then a hot... More
