We stayed here for a weekend at the end of the season, the last weekend in September. We rented an efficiency unit, which had two queen beds and a kitchenette. Everything was very clean, and the kitchenette was fully equipped. We were on an upper level, and there is a wooden deck, with an outside table and chairs for each... More

We were celebrating an anniversary, so we chose a larger room (room #9). The rude lady on the phone suggested it was the nicest view. The girl at the desk was very unfriendly, but accommodating. The room was freezing cold. There was not a thermostat in the room. We called down to the desk and she asked if we wanted... More

My sister and I just completed our yearly stay at this little gem and had a wonderful time. We really enjoy the pool, which is always clean and rarely crowded. Another big draw are all the patio and deck areas. It's great to spend the day at the pool and then get some takeout and a few drinks and spend... More

The rooms on the in water were decorated so stylish! All of the rooms had a different theme. Very clean and comfortable. Prime real estate on the Kalamazoo River with a beautiful deck to relax on. All amenities were provided in the efficiency kitchens. It was also a quiet place to stay at night.

Our 4th stay in the last 10 years. We were in the "suites" next to the river. Very pricey, but a fantastic view. For some reason, we were less impressed overall this time. Perhaps because the suites are aging. For me, the bed felt ten years old. And, this time, we experienced noise - from people in the other units.... More

We stayed in "apt 202". 3 bedrooms & had a kitchen. Bathroom is REALLY small and felt dirty and outdated. Bedroom doors didn't close properly. The king sized bed was hard. There are no restaurants close by. You have to either drive or take the chain ferry across the lake to get to the restaurants/shops. Hotel does not offer breakfast... More

We stayed in the suites that were priced at $300 a night for the holiday. Let me start off with the only positive of the property which is an awesome view. The negatives includes an EXTREMELY unwelcoming and unfriendly hotel staff, a room that has seen better days (the furniture was uncomfortable and old), the bathroom is TINY, the tv... More

We stayed again this year. We visited with our grandsons (11 and 13). The location is great for us. The proximity to lake Michigan and Mt. Baldy is within walking distance.....a pretty good hike but, closer than in town. Our grandsons enjoyed the pool and loved using the Chain Ferry. We just turned them loose on their scooters. No problem.... More

The Watermelon cottage is a nightmare. Cobwebs everywhere and we killed spiders every day. I don't think they've cleaned under the dressers for years. The furniture is old and dirty. It was still musty after four days with the humidifier and air conditioner running. No wi fi. AND THERE IS NO DOOR BETWEEN THE TWO BEDROOMS, which are so tiny... More

I am so sorry to hear your recent stay with us was less than pleasant. We will certainly look into the cleaning of this unit and will get the housekeepers over there immediately to inspect and further clean the unit as necessary. Had we been informed that there was a problem prior to your departure we would have certainly sent... More

Great week with family of 40!! We had several rooms and cottages around the upper pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. The ferry is less than a block away making easy to get into town. On Wednesday nights a free concert plays and we could enjoy the music from our patio.
