We had an unpleasant time and experience with this place. Physically, the place seemed like it was slapped together hastily and cheaply to provide the owners with income, but really wasn't built with comfort and pleasure of the guests in mind. The heat was turned up to 100 degrees, with no way to open windows or shut if off. I... More

On arriving to Saugatuck this B&B felt a little bit as if granny had lent us her summer cottage, BUT the place grew on me. Our hosts were incredibly caring and unpretentious, and breakfast was good and tasty (won't forget the frittata). The place was impeccably tidy and everything you might want is there (coffee maker, hair dryer, whatever), even... More

I haven't been in a bed and breakfast for awhile and it was nice to experience again (without the kids). This was cozy, close to town, and with a wonderful breakfast, what more could you want? We got some advice from the owners who seemed to know their way around town. We weren't disturbed at all. Our room in the... More

1st time visit to Saugatuck 10/2013 for 25th anniversary. We wanted trip to be special. Based on some reviews, hesitant to stay at Serendipity. But, the relatively reasonable cost & idea of breakfast delivered to room won us over (anti-social? -- maybe!). House is adorable & in perfect location (walking distance of everything). Greeted by David (very sweet) who gave... More

First, the good. Location. It's hard to find a place closer to the action in Saugatuck. Grounds and buildings. Beautiful old houses with well-tended gardens and landscaping. Very pleasant. Amenities. Nice secluded hot tub and sauna. Quirky selection of video tapes. Breakfast. Very nice, made with local ingredients, and delivered to the door in a basket. Hosts. Very kind and... More

We saw your review of your stay here on Trip Advisor. We are extremely sorry about the all night loud music coming from next door, and have dealt with the problem. From the main house we could not hear the music, and were told about it the following day from guests in two other suites which had windows facing the... More

My husband and I traveled to Saugatuck this past Saturday on a whim. We did not have reservations but after calling the Chamber of Commerce, we discovered Serendipity had two available options. One was a room in the main house with a shared bath and the other a suite with private bath. David showed me both options and we chose... More

The innkeepers, David and June, are delightful and extremely friendly. Their recommendations for restaurants and activities were spot-on. Breakfasts were filling and wonderful. We stayed in the Lily room, which was CLEAN, well maintained, and very comfortable. We had everything we needed right at hand, from locally made soaps to extra pillows and towels. The location is ideal, with all... More

We decided to book a short getaway and were lucky enough to get a room here. The place is very charming and the location is fantastic. The room we stayed in, Lily, had a private bath, good a/c and ceiling fan, super clean bathroom (which we are sticklers about), and lots of extra pillows. June and David could not have... More

We spent a weekend in the Library Suite at Serendipity and would recommend it to anyone. David and June were kind and helpful and did everything to ensure we had a nice experience. The breakfasts were delicious and the location is great!

My husband and I spent our anniversary here a couple years ago and still talk about it. We stayed in the lighthouse keepers cottage. David was very helpful and we had a wonderful time. Everyone should experience sitting in a hot tub, under the stars, when it's only 20 degrees out.
