This was the second time we stayed at the Ship & Shore. We had a Queen room with a very nice private balcony at the end of the main part of the Motel. Although the room was small, it was comfortable and clean. We love the location - watching the boats on the River and easy walking distance to all... more

We had no hot water for the whole weekend. The whole second floor had no hot water for the whole weekend. No apologies - just "you can use the boaters showers outside." Yeah, right. It was 50degrees out that weekend. The rooms were clean, cheap quality beds (uncomfy!) and towels. We ended up leaving early (no refund) and driving home... more

Super location on the water in downtown Saugatuck with all the shops and restaurants just down the sidewalk. Room was spacious and clean. Very neat and clean property. more

The Ship and Shore was a way cool place. Our 1st encounter there was in the winter. They had it decorated with light's and the fireplaces going ( very cozy ).The docks outside were really neat.I have no complaints about the Ship and Shore. We actually have been back a 1/2 dozen times and alway's been great fun ( we enjoy quite)... more

My friend and I just stayed at the Ship n' Shore last week. We started out with one of the rooms on the dock. The room was small, but clean. The problem we had was that any boat can pull up and dock in front of your room. They just have to pay to park. That is what happaned to... more

The Ship n Shore has a beautiful location and surrounding gardens. We love Saugatuck and didn't need to move our car all weekend since the motel's location is so perfect you can walk anywhere in town. The outside gardens and pool are immaculate. The disappointment comes in the room. New linens are apparent in the hotel overall, but the cold... more

Stayed at the Ship n Shore for 3 nights in July and loved the location, can't get any more convenient to town and attractions. The motel is a bit dated, especially the bathroom, but the room was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the grounds are beautiful with many little private spots to sit and relax, right on the Kalamazoo... more

Johnson, Hamilton, IN My husband & I stayed at the Ship & Shore motel for our 10 yr wedding anniversary. We were fortunate enough to have a room on the water by the harbour. The rooms were small but we were not unplesant. The atmosphere was so very relaxing and the location is great. We plan to spend our anniversay... more

We enjoyed the location, the pool, and the hot tub. Another plus is the fridge in the hotel room. I wouldn't return unless we got an upper level room. We had a ground level room and the carpet and room seemed perpetually soggy. Cleanliness was okay; fine for slumming it with the kids. We also made the mistake of not... more

My experience was absolutely wonderful!! My room had the perfect view, the staff was so helpful and friendly. Reasonably priced rooms, and the location is one in a million. The pool is very nice, plenty of room to sit by the water. The landscaping is beautiful as well as the padios that they have. The kids had a blast, would... more
