My daughter and I stayed at the Ship - N -Shore from May 18 - 21. Older hotel but room was very clean. Beds were comfortable and had a great shower . Outside garden was beautiful . Had several tables and chairs to sit and watch the boats go by. Continental breakfast was good enough - bagels , sweet rolls,... More

Spent 3 very enjoyable nights in May. This is a popular spot that is right on the Kalamazoo R. near its mouth into Lake Michigan. It is also located right in downtown Saugatuck near shops and restaurants. Not a fancy place, but rooms are large and clean with comfortable beds and flat screen T.V. Breakfast bar is OK with pastries,... More

This is an older hotel that has the perfect location for downtown Saugatuck. It is on the water with a pool and hot tub right on the river. Walking distance to all the shopping in town. Staff is courteous and there is a light breakfast offered. The rooms are dated and some of the beds could stand to be changed.... More

i stayed here in october whilst on a road trip, first i must say it is set in the most wonderful setting, right on the river. I did have a couple of issues that i mentioned during my stay which were not dealt with, but i emailed the hotel after my stay, and the owner has been most helpful and prompt in dealing with... More

Typical older hotel room. Very dated & was not very clean room. Spider webs seen. We moved the bed to look for an outlet to find the outlet was partially out of the wall! We had a waterfront room that had a small table and chairs outside the door. Good location to be able to walk into town. Friendly staff.... More

Ship n Shore Hotel is a classic. It is walking distance to great shops, music, bars and activities. We have stayed several times within the past 8 years. We like to get a room by the dock. It is so peaceful especially at night with the sounds of water. The pool and hot tub is great. There is a comfortable... More

I am a music lover, but it doesn't necessarily mean I like YOUR music. The piped in music was loud and I guess went through the decades. But lucky me, I was outside every time the 50's were on. I get it, the guests skewed an older boater crowd. A LOT older. But can't we just pick our own music... More

Ship and Shore has become our favorite place to stay in Saugatick. We come every year in August for our anniversary. We recently celebrated our 54th anniversary and with any luck we will be celebrating our 55th next year. We've already booked our stay for next year. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Ship and Shore sits right on... More

We have stayed any Ship n Shore for the last three fall seasons. We always look forward to the comfortable rooms, welcoming staff, pleasant covered patio gathering area, pool and hot tub. This older hotel doesn't pretend to be an elegant, modern chain hotel. Their rooms are unique, clean and comfortable. There is only one, fairly big, problem...located on the... More
