We arrived in Saugatuck Saturday morning and immediately wanted to stay as it is Michigan's Key West on a smaller scale... Many B&B's were fully booked, so we checked available rooms at a half-dozen sites. Some were priced better than the Victorian Inn, but were older and didn't have the warmth of the Victorian. Hence, we decided to go with... more

Rude owner - comes off just plain arrogant. Not a welcome feeling at all. Made our stay very uncomfortable. Breakfast was very minimal. Not worth the price. more

The perfect place to spend an autumn weekend getaway! This bed & breakfast is located in the heart of downtown Saugatuck, just a short walk to all of the shops, wine tasting, restaurants, parks, and waterfront. We had a beautiful weekend - Just cool enough in the evenings for a fleece and warm enough during the day to enjoy the... more

My husband and I stayed at the Victorian Inn this past Labor Day Weekend to celebrate a birthday and recent marriage and thought it was great. We visit Saugatuck often and always wanted to stay there because of its location and that fantastic front porch - we would always see guests sitting out there and looking like they are really... more

We booked a room here for a long weekend in Saugatuck. From the reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect, but it seems that some people just aren't used to B&B's, or perhaps aren't open-minded enough to appreciate the personal, homey atmosphere here. The exterior of the home is beautiful, and the great porch is one of the best features... more

Based on some of the reviews on this web site I would say these folks had unreasonable expectations or stayed in a different "Victorian Inn". This B&B was clean and nicely decorated with artifacts from the many trips to Africa made by the Innkeepers. The Innkeepers were friendly and gracious. I suppose breakfast could be considered ho-hum if you consider... more

A sleepy little town on the Kalamazoo River could be the setting for any Norman Rockwell painting. We found The Victorian Inn well placed in the collection of buildings. This 100 year old Sears/Roebuck Catelogue house is surrounded by fantastic porches. The building is well maintained and very comfortable not only in the well appointed rooms but also the public... more

Stayed during the Venetian festival in late July 2006. Great location on edge of downtown....but breakfast was so-so each day, walls are paper thin (you could hear the neighbors using the toilet), the inn keepers seem verrrrry bored with running the property, and the fresh towels smelled gross. Oh, and the bed gave us back aches. Wickwood across the street... more

This B&B is someone's home, and it has its pos and minus. Pos is location and appearance. Food not special, and the couple that lives there with their dog is very 'homey' and 'folksy' types. Not for everyone. The premises are well kept, but some private parts we could see thru open door were not. more

The Saugatuck Victorian Inn, located downtown Saugatuck has a beautiful exterior and a wonderful location in the heart of town with parking off of the street (small lot). The lake is one block away and in view, and the shops or restaurants are all within walking distance. The downstairs lobby is open and ordained with beautiful dark wood. The home... more
